IOP is not a right triangle. This problem just came up while trying to solve an engeneering problem.

Thx a lot for trying it out, i found two solutions myself, but it was either solving a quartic polynomial or finding the limit of a series... I wanted to see if anyone found a more elegant solution ;)

Hey, heard you like math

H, D, R and theta are given, solve for L

;)

Apologies if i'm wrong, isn't it puritanism

As mentionned by another comment, everybody here dislikes you, like they dislike that weird nazi kid or that far right coworker they know. Now, if you would allow me to expand on that thought, i fear that the general "ewww" directed towards you does not limit itself to this platform. I would go as far as to wager that not a single soul likes you for any other reason than (maybe) family. Now, if you were to grow up and just learn to either shut up at the right time or think before talking/posting, maybe, just maybe, the situation might improve ;)

Well til, anyways, i'm not telling you that articficial sweeteners are worse than sugar, i'm telling you that you might not want to take too much artificial sugar.

Be somewhat wary of artificial sweeteners, most of them are relatively new and so have unwanted side effects ore unknown side effect. (I geuss it's like vaping : better than smoking but not great). Some known ones include : --cancer-- (edit : the cancer part is wrong aparently, see coment bellow) and obesity because you body cranks your calorie retention to the max (it sees a full can of something that tastes very much like sugar go in and no calories come out so it goes "wow, i'm really bad at extracting and storing energy. Let's improve that ! And you get fucked next time you eat sugar) anyways, as with everything, be mindfull with consumption

I took it as satire too, but what tells it's /v/ ?

You can make truffle butter with that. I know it taste wonderful, but i can't remember the recipe. Though it couldn't possibly be very complicated

Toki pona. End of discussion.

Well, maybe, but i've been thinking about turning tokens into words and all that fun stuff (disclaimer, i am against any kind of llm and the similar misuses of that technology) and most importantly, about how directions in this high dimensional space seem to encode true semantical dimensions.

Like how king + woman - man = king + "vector direction associated with feminity = queen (higly simplified)

This brought me to the realization that all languages have a measurable (maybe not exact but at least rough estimate) number of semantic dimensions (usually way lower than the number of words in said language).

Which then made me wonder :

-> How few semantic dimensions do you need for a functionnal conlang ? (i imagine it would be two (binary) but i would be happy to hear your counterpoints)

-> how many words per semantic dimensions do you need to get by and is there a reason why human language have so much "redundancy" (why not have "word for magnitude + word for semantic direction" ad nauseam ?)

And last but not least, can you make a language with only 3 semantic dimensions and speak in rgb colours ?

TlDR : how many semantic direction do you need to make a language ?

Per comment request, here are some links if you found this interesting and want to learn more :

About turning words into vectors :

-> This lesson by 3b1b and all of the related one give a firm grasp on the inner workings of neural networks and llms, which can help debunk bs online andloosely introduces the technology of turning words into vectors (there is a videoversion if you can't bother reading )

->This article which only deals with word embedding (see section 3 for what i'm specifically talking about

About conlangs :

-> The official toki pona website

-> The language creation society

-> The wiki page about conlangs, for good measure

Hi, i'm looking for a FOSS or at least free and offline way to simulate electromagnetic fields in interaction with moving objects and electrical circuits.

(If it runs on linux, even better)

Thanks for any help :)
