The problem ultimately is that the demographic that supported trump still thinks they're correct in their beliefs, they just think trump was either manipulated into being bad or went senile.
The billionaire class is only accumulating more power, and they will throw their support behind anyone who vows to increase tribalism and hasten institutional decline - because thats how they'll make more money and get away with crimes.
The rot in America will survive Trump.
