Just recently finished Big Hops.

Its a really good 3D platformer that gives slight Mario Odyssey vibes in terms of big open world areas to explore. A lot od good movement mechanics and feels fresh from start to finish.

Yeah, there are implicit and explicit biases at every stage of these models. The training data they collect, how they clean and use their training data, the actual training methodology, the prompts to literally alter the final output.

That's not to mention the main things LLM aren't aware of, which is who are you as a person. An LLM doesn't know nor can it understand your life experiences and how that shapes your opinions on who is best to represent you. Handing over cognition like this is basically throwing away your vote as you've forfeited one of the major methods you have to influence your government.

Glad to hear I'm not the only person who has had some difficulties. And yeah, you are right that it should be fine for hosting services, which is why I mentioned my specific use cases.

However, I think calling out lack of support is always a good thing as you never know what support you may need down the road. I definitely have run into some issues due to their supported OS I'm running and its surprisingly out of date for a board that only released a couple years ago.

Yeah, looking at the stats, it's actually probably one of the safer days for kids to be pedestrians given the amount of extra miles walked by kids on Halloween.

You'd really want this to be fatalities by miles walked, rather than raw fatalities.

I was going to complain that the orangepi wasn't $350+, but didn't realize the fully maxed 6 is that much. That's crazy how much single board computers have gotten.

Just shared my experience on the post you replied to, but basically the support/documentation for the orangepi isn't great and has cost me a lot of time and forced me to use workarounds to get some things working (GPIO, NPU, cameras, etc.)

[–] jacksilver@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

OrangePi support is terrible. Maybe it's better with the 5, but the 4 I've struggled with getting a library to work with the GPIO pins, documentation on the NPU is limited, and I can't get it to recognize a standard serial camera.

It's possible I'm just trying to do weird things, but it's a much worse experience than I've ever had with a raspberry pi and I regret not spending more to just get the pi. I've lost probably 10+ hours just trying to deal with some things I'd consider basic, and had to create weird workarounds that hurt performance in other areas.

A great 3D indie platformer/collectathon that gives Mario Odyssey vibes (open worlds with lots of little platforming sections) is Big Hops

The game has good movement mechanics, cool settings, and decent writing.the use of berries as regional alterations on the platforming is really well done and keeps things fresh between the worlds.

I like how you call out West Side Story where it is one of the rare pieces of media that highlights how dangerous a knife is. The whole lead up to the gang fight they're saying no weapons as knives are a big deal. In the fight, I think only one or two people pull out a knife. And from recollection, once a knife comes out, it moves pretty quickly to someone getting stabbed once/dies/gang fight disperses cause "wholly shit someone's got a knife and killed someone".

Like I understand that yeah there is a lot of dancing in the movie, but once the knife comes out things turn pretty serious. Unlike something like Crocodile Dundee where they're comparing knife sizes.

It'll be interesting to see if they ever release the statement she originally made, as the claim the DA was making is that her statement (her recollection of the events) never amounts to anything legally defined as rape.

I can't believe they re-released this for $20. I don't think the original game was worth that when it came out. It's a janky game with an interesting plot twist that can't take over 2-3 hours to complete.

This is an issue with a lot of these kinds of cases (where a lot of drinking and drugs are involved). Based on the summary of her statements, the first two guys she willingly hooked up with were probably too intoxicated to consent by most people's standards. One passed out basically during sex and the other was dry heaving/throwing up shortly after.

At the end of the day, the biggest issue is you're going to struggle to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt that any person's story is reliable.

Not sure if a perfect fit, but a comedy western rpg with a bit of a supernatural element. If you haven't already you should check it out!
