What if a woman needs her inhaler from home? You'd be the dude to tackle it thinking it stole her purse! /s

But seriously, I, Robot looks very different these days.

I'm doing it all in-house. Once the internet gets involved, all bets are off. Even going from 2 connections in the same town on the same ISP with gigabit fiber I've gotten unreliable results.

Rockstar bought FiveM because it was getting huge. They didn't create it, and would have much rather it not exist.

I setup the docker container "Wolf" on my gaming PC. It lets me stream from my desktop to my laptop. I'm lucky enough to have WiFi 6 with solid coverage. All that combined means I can run at near native quality and hardly any extra latency streaming from my desktop to my laptop/steamdeck. All without the normal streaming issues of making sure the PC is logged in and ready to start a stream.

I wouldn't do it for competitive shooters, but for the games I play, it's great. Keeps my laptop quiet, and my gaming PC being a space heater in another room.

Technically, Wolf uses Moonlight, but I just use that to start the Steam container, after that, I use Steam's Remote Play directly, because I've had the best results with it.

But the post you responded to was talking about console having more whales than PC. Higher competition on PC is one of the reasons. I think it is dead on target. If console players could play FiveM, something tells me a lot less of them would be sucked into GTAO.

On PC, you can play GTA5 online without GTAO thanks to great mods. Want to just play tag with your friends online in GTA5? No need to engage in the microtransaction BS that is GTAO.

I'll throw some love in for LoK. It was a great drama, handling difficult subjects that a lot of late teens and young adults struggle with. Characters weren't magically perfect, always making the right choice, or knowing the right words. But also, sometimes a character did everything right, and still ended up with a terrible result.

The original show had a little bit of that in it, but LoK took it to realism levels, and made it main plot points not just in episodes, but whole seasons.

It would be funny if a poorly written law accidentally banned all straight porn. I'd laugh.

Oh, and it’s all holographic, so no one gets hurt.

So a video game about animals fighting is a problem to you, but a video game about a video game about animals fighting is abstract enough? I'm just kidding, just a funny chain.

That looks pretty cool. I assume those are critters you scanned through normal exploration? Sounds like a fun loop to push you to look for new critters. Just scanning for the sake of scanning was never enough to keep me hooked.

Yeah, it's about power and control, not money. Companies don't want employees challenging their power structure. Employees are cogs to them, and cogs don't get a say in what machine they are crushed in.

BYOND mention, nice. Such an underrated part of gaming history.

I'm digging the design. I miss that type of style of RTS.
