I had aphantasia as well. I also have the issue with identifying people or describing people. Until now I thought those were two separate issues.

Exactly. The brain damage caused by covid has many impacts. Social skills and empathy are absolutely affected.

I own my house outright. I own a vacant block of land outright. Soon there will be a house on that block of land, which I am on track to own outright within five years.

I support housing reforms and don't think they should grandfather anything in. Landlord should not be a protected class and housing should not be an investment.

I know what it's like to be incredibly poor and the class mobility that let me go from growing up in poverty to relative wealth no longer exists. It needs to be fixed.

It costs $230 out-of-pocket to see a dermatologist. Many Australians go without – despite soaring skin cancer rates in c/australia@aussie.zone

Absolutely. Yeah it's not as bad as the US, but it's not good.

It was about 105f in Perth yesterday. It reached 115f at my friend's place a bit to the northeast.

I don't seem to be able to buy this in Australia. Yet I can buy a dozen different products to selectively kill the clover in my lawn.

That sucks, I really like clover. It's nice to walk on.
