It happens to dads a lot too. Earning some kind of gold star for just pulling your weight parenting.

When confronted with an unjust law, a good citizen feels the need to disobey it. Compliance with an unjust law is complacency, and eventually you allow it to become part of the social contract. That is why it is so important for those with nothing to hide to oppose any and all unreasonable searches and seizures. That is why all jurors should know about nullification. That is why bodily autonomy, the missing right in the many, needs to be exercised and covered as a religious freedom (TST). It is your civic duty to defy unjust laws.

I’d really like to see an EV designed with no mirrors. Not like Tesla: the displays for each side mirror should be on each side. And the whole vehicle should be aero, yes. But for a truck you’d end up with something that resembles the cybertruck, but with rounded corners.

Seed anything you haven’t deleted. Cross seed if you have scene content from elsewhere. If you download a show know when it releases and download it right away, as if you’re waiting for it to air live. A lot of the seeding happens in the first hour.

Here’s another mind bender: not making a decision or delaying it, is itself an impulsive/compulsive decision. Sometimes indecision or inaction has consequences. Sometimes decisions that paralyze you are inconsequential. You never have complete information. Making a decision is doing the best with what you have in the moment.

Earplugs. When the world is too loud, turn it down.

A minimum wage worker in 1971 made about 6 to 7 ounces of gold per month. By my calculations that’s equivalent to making about $300k today.

This isn’t anger it’s resentment. Resentment is a poison pill that you swallow, hoping it harms your enemy. The only way through is to forgive. Or you can carry it around the rest of your life, if that feels right for you. Revenge isn’t going to bring your mother back. If you want to be at peace, make peace with it.

I enjoy shitting on Toyota for dragging their feet on EVs. But the 2027 EV Highlander looks like they might actually be taking it seriously. They’re even saying it can power your house through the NACS port.

It’s because they have the highest oil content of the tree nuts.

Let’s face it basketball has peaked. But on skateboards it could be way better. The rules are you must dribble each time your foot touches down, otherwise you can shoot or pass while rolling. If you lose your board you sit on the bench for 1 minute like a penalty box. Okay this idea kinda stinks but I’d really love to play.

Spend 95% of your $3-4B fire budget saving the homes of rich people. Spend 5% on reducing the risk.

Another day it occurred to me that time as we know it doesn’t exist in the lawn, since grass never dies or is allowed to flower and set seed. Lawns are nature purged of sex and death. No wonder Americans like them so much.
