Oh fucking lmao. Finally reaping the fruits of their successive failures huh? Screw Nacon, they are a terrible publishing company, and almost every game I followed that got published or bought out by them (WRC series, Test Drive, Session Skate Sim) got measurably worse because of it.

she's delivering a pipe bomb in her hongbao package.

So, I've done as usual and went through the megathread looking for the stuff I need. Since nsw2u has been taken down, I hadn't downloaded any Switch games, and tried out grabbing Metroid Dread on NXBrew since it was tagged as GOAT. Unfortunately, when I tried downloading from there, their link redirector sent me into fucking limbo and hit me with a Trojan, that I swiftly removed.

So, should that website's status still be rated that high? I couldn't reach any of their actual downloads, since they all go through the same shitty redirector.

I've grabbed a physical copy of White Box FMAG and downloaded the PDF for this one, and I think in a single book it immediately covered any rules options needs I could ever have had with that game! It really is a great book.

The article reads severely like "old man yells at clouds" against the practice of modding. If people want to modify the experience, it's their game to play (or ruin)

BAR is peak RTS game. Although lately I've mostly been playing Dawn of War for my strategy fix.

I've been playing American Truck Simulator, OpenTTD, and sometimes hopping into my playthrough of Stalker Gamma. It's a simple life.

I've been playing Doom again lately (as one does) but I really should take a detour through the other idSoftware games... especially this one

Yeah they don't want their precious anti-cheat to be tampered with... to protect their microtransactions, which is the real reason they are even making this game in the first place. To make it a vaguely skateboard themed Fortnite skin selling money printer.

Linux IS a lot of work to keep up with. But it's also way better to use after that work is done. And won't be enshittified against your will with every update, unlike Windows.

Fucking hell UK. Fuck that stupid ass island and it's government. 1984 and V for Vendetta were documentaries. huh.

And that, too, isn't new. It's been done since at least the Spellforce series, or Dawn of War 2.

If you want to see what an "innovated" RTS looks like, check out Beyond All Reason. The base formula is Total Annihilation, but with nearly 30 years of player driven improvements and QoL. That game's UX is extremely smart, and you can keybind or automate so many things on the fly, freeing you up to make strategic and tactical level decisions , instead of spamclicking for micro. Which, you can also do if you want to.

I do not understand how this is not more known, this epic doom metal album is incredibly kickass.

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. Now I can convert those files to something I can use.

So, since very recently Nintendo decided to be a fuck and kill all emulator projects for the Switch, I finally decided to grab them and learn how to use them. I'm very much not new to emulation in general and where to find games, so I'm mostly good with that. Only thing is that I couldn't get the new Zelda game to run without stutters, but I guess that's the shaders compiling in real time. Unicorn Overlord plays absolutely flawlessly.

Anyway, I would like to go after more games, but all of the different file formats confuse me. Specifically, the NSZ format. None of my emulators are able of loading that, my other games are in NSP format and load just fine.

Okay, also. I own a 2019 model Switch Lite and would like to know how would I go about unlocking it. I guess I would need to install a modchip on it?
