You should see how Vivec holds his Muatra.

I almost got detained for bringing Exploding Kittens in my luggage. The game meows when you open the lid, so the device looked really suspicious. And the name on the front didn't help.

Shit fucking game, by the way.

I worked with a guy with a similar story -- book included. Are you Canadian?

I grew up foraging mushrooms in Michigan, but ever since moving to Alberta I've never felt comfortable hunting mushrooms here. I need to go with someone confident who has done it their entire lives. But I did learn recently that a different species of morel actually grows out here. I'm going to try hunting those this year.

Went down a metal slide once and a swarm of them came out of one of the top poles. Swarmed my throat and stung me several times there. Survived, but it was horrible.

Bees went fucking nuts for my lupine, even while living in an urban environment. Only problem was that the aphids did too. So many that it was revolting. I had to aggressively remove them every single day of the colonies would explode and destroy my lupine within a very short time. They'd suck it dry.

A lady who supposedly "worked for a water company" and won't drink tap water argued very confidently this morning that the little flakes you can see in tap water are not minerals. I put on my serious research face, but only had to do one Google search (they're minerals).

Pigs are fucking terrified of the abyss. Do not do this.

What does this font remind me so strongly of? Habbo Hotel? Rollercoaster Tycoon? The Sims 1? It's driving me crazy.

I mean.. Yeah.. This is kind of how it feels here.

That man's face needs to be studied. It is incredible.

I'm having trouble with the audio volume in Stardew Valley mobile. With wired headphones, the audio is very loud, but if I'm using Bluetooth (and I've tried multiple pairs), the audio in that game sounds as though it's capped at 50% and it's not a comfortable experience. My physical volume is at 100% and I've checked my Earfun settings to make sure everything is as high as it can go. My old Anker Soundcore earbuds had the same issue, but enabling 3D Audio in their settings seemed to fix it. My Earfun Air Pro 4's don't appear to have that option.

What's perplexing to me is that the audio from literally any other source is perfectly loud. Spotify, YouTube, other games.. It's fine. But I boot up Stardew and it's like playing with a wax blockage in both ears. Again, this is not an issue at all if I switch to wired earbuds/headphones.

Is there any way for me to amplify volume in general, or to apply amplification specifically to that app? I feel like I've tried everything to no avail. Volume booster apps have done nothing, Androids native Sound Amplifier does nothing, and I've enabled dev tools and everything.

I'm at a loss.

A year or so back I was walking to work around 5am and I saw a sizable H shape silently fall across the sky at a pretty rapid speed. Maybe 5-10x the speed of a satellite. Far quicker than anything I've ever seen cross the sky of human origin. It's hard to articulate the size, but I guess if you held a mandarin orange out toward the sky at arm's length, it would have just covered the size of this thing to the naked eye.

To better describe it, it looked like dim white stars forming a perfect H-shaped constellation. At least 7 points (one connecting the two rows on either side). It made no noise, had no other lights, and soared overhead at the speed I would imagine an F5 might fly overhead. It was going.

My initial thought was maybe the ISS, despite it not being remotely that close to earth to form that shape. I checked the live map and it was on the other side of the world. I checked the ~~Space-X~~ StarLink live map and there were barely any over Canada at the time, and what were there were sparse and formed no shapes.

I've never seen anything like it since, but I'm always watching on those early morning walks.

I realize this is, by definition, a UAP, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever seen one that matched this description? It's not my only UAP experience, but it's by far the most unique I've witnessed.

For a while now I've wanted to pick up a hacked SNES or Raspberry Pi in a small SNES case to emulate my favorite games on my TV. It's both for me, and for my daughter (5) who has successfully played games like Spyro Reignited with little help from me. I think SNES would be an incredible entry point for her. That said, after some digging it looks like a Gen2 Amazon Firestick may be the better option?

Just hoping to get some advice on the simplest, most straight-forward option for me to play SNES ROMs on my smart TV, with support for two controllers. I'm even open to buying a complete package with the work already done for me, so long as I can add ROMs of my choice to it. I just don't know where to get something like that, and everything I've searched looks a little overwhelming to put together. I'm fairly tech-savvy, but I don't know that I'm up to the task of physically assembling devices and circuit boards like some of these kits seem to require.

Your advice is greatly appreciated!

I seem to encounter this often while using Sync, and have so for the past couple of years. Not sure why it's taken until now to ask about it. The issue is always as shown here. I'll open a post, even one that I've interacted with and have received replies, but despite my efforts I can't get it to actually display the comments. This seems to happen completely at random, and perhaps as often as 1 in 8 posts. Comments work completely fine elsewhere.

Clicking "View post" via the prompt at the bottom makes no difference.

Any ideas?

My daughter (5) loves to play games with me on my PC. Favorites of hers include Spyro Reignited, Untitled Goose Game, House Flipper, and Skyrim (she basically putts around whatever town I throw her in and steals from the locals' homes).

She is really into anything with simple mechanics, non-scary exploration, and minimal reading/menu navigation. Being able to go into various houses is a huge plus. She loves to snoop.

Tonight she was laughing her ass off while watching gameplay from a game called I Am Cat. I told her I'd get it for her, but unfortunately it's VR-only, and you can't strap those things to a little kid. I believe you have to be 12+ to use them safely without adverse effects on development and motor skills.

When asked just now for anything she'd like to add, she said, "Funny, happy, and beautiful!"

With all of that said, any recommendations?

Beautiful smile, though..

My wife and I ventured into the Mistlands for the first time yesterday and wound up being chased out by a rampaging 1-star insectoid/rock creature. This thing was insanely fast and incredibly pissed. It persued us well out of the Mistlands, through the Black Forest (where we had to constantly weave through trees and chug stamina potions to keep going), and all the way to our nearby temporary plains portal, where we escaped back to our base.

That portal was just on the shore near our boat, a great distance south. What is the likelihood that the creature will still be present if we return through that portal? Based on our experience with it, I suspect it will effortlessly kill us before we've even fully loaded into the other side.

If it's still there, we're probably better off taking another boat south and luring the creature away from our portal, or just abandoning that portal entirely.

Whatever that thing was it made my heart beat through my chest. It felt good to be afraid of something again.

My daughter (4) is very into exploring cities, homes and villages in Skyrim, feeding aliens in No Man's Sky, and cleaning houses in House Flipper. She gets annoyed in games like House Flipper because she can't leave the property to explore all of the visible houses on the block. I'd like to find other PC games that are relatively kid-friendly (or at least with my guidance and supervision) and easy for her to just wander about and be nosy.

Any suggestions? Simple adventure/fantasy would be great and provide us with something to progress through together, but anything that lets you explore a neighborhood and/or poke around in buildings and such would be perfect. I'm picking up Goat Simulator today for that exact purpose.

I appreciate it in advance.

Hey, guys. I was on medical leave for three months last year and spent a good portion of that time modding the absolute hell out of my game. I made several merged mods via zMerge, have a plug-in called zPatch.esp which I can't recall the purpose of, an inactive (unchecked) Bashed Patch, and an active Smashed Patch.

The game would have been good to launch and go as it was, but I have better hardware now and installed Nature of the Wild Lands, subsequently deleting Happy Trees, Aspens Ablaze and Enhanced Vanilla Trees from my former mod list. In addition, I installed four of JK's Outskirts mods (Markarth, Riften, Solitude, Windhelm) that had released since I last played.

To keep my plug-ins under 250, I trimmed the fat by removing KS Dragon Overhaul, as well as Civil War Refugees Redux due to clipping incompatibilities with the JK's Outskirts mods.

So to make certain everything still plays together nicely, I believe I need to remake the Bashed Patch (leveled lists only), then include it in a Smashed Patch, and leave only that Smashed Patch active near the bottom of my load order? Is this the correct order?

And if so, any idea what I may have made that zPatch.esl for? I had following Sinitar's guide for a good portion of the mods before moving on to the endless acquisition of others, but primarily referred to GamerPoets videos for the more complicated things like merging, bashing, smashing and DynDOLOD.

Any help sparking my memory here would be greatly appreciated. I've already properly ran TexGen and DynDOLOD, and checked my merged mods to rebuild and relink scripts, so that much is sorted out.

Thanks!
