It's called a cloaca, you uneducated swine!

(Sorry, couldn't pass on a good streak of online insult throwing)

Many comic artists have side gigs to actually make a living. I could guess what this person does for their day job.

In the context of the richest person on earth saying, "empathy is a weakness", yes. You're absolutely right.

They are a wizard, yes. Nobody in their right mind would want to do it for so long.

They also reckon the other 50% is trying to harness the magic by randomly tweaking stuff in the hope it doesn't blow up in their face...

I worked with someone that's been designing RF circuits close to 4 decades. They reckon it's only about 50% magic.

I have never accepted this explanation. Yes, using base 12 is logical and well documented. But that means you've got 12 on the other hand as well. 144 would've made more sense.

'think with your head and not your heart'

A variation of it, "okay, but do you really need it?" is used in regular rotation in our household. There's nothing wrong with the saying when used as, "take some time to reflect before making rash decisions". Though one could argue reflection still takes feelings into account, not putting it aside entirely.

And that RTX 4090 would've been pretty sweet. But she's right, playing my games on 'low' doesn't take away my enjoyment from a game that's actually good.

I think the board is wrong. The f8 bishop is actually on e8 in the comic, which means the other bishop should be on black - possibly on a7 protecting the knight (can't see that side of the board).

Because.

Have you not heard of the term "Australia tax"?

[–] RustySharp@programming.dev 9 points 1 month ago

Yeah. And the exact same thing the last 3 times this was implemented in systemd/some Linux distros. We've discussed this to death in multiple threads, with many people saying they probably should move to BSD.

So I still think this is newsworthy solely because of that last point.

Depends on which dollar we're talking about. Zimbabwean?
