RAM prices exploding only means Apple takes a tiny hit to their profit margin per device, considering how inflated they were in the first place.

Not just folders, every icon has 4-way configurable swipe. I've gone a little swipe crazy now. Who needs folders when you can launch 5 different things by swiping a single icon...

I absolutely support your points.

But the guards only carry halberds for ceremonial duties. Otherwise they are reasonably well armed, from personal sidearms to assault rifles.

Usually it's the ones that were once a Reddit app, modified to work with Lemmy. I've not seen one specifically written for Lemmy/PieFed to not support spoilers.

As in, a companion to the planet.

Moons are satellites.

Satellite: from Latin satellitem (nominative satelles) "an attendant" upon a distinguished person; "a body-guard, a courtier; an assistant"

100 years ago my grandmother ran a whole train station as 'secretary', while the 'station master' came, smoked, read papers, and pretty much just chilled all day - and getting paid many times her salary.

When they said, "women fought to get paid", they meant, "getting paid commensurate to their work". And in many ways, they are still fighting for it.

No, what they're describing is a False Friend. A very specific type of homophone/graph/nym. They work across languages. And in many cases (though not a hard rule) have close enough meaning/usage that would confuse non-native speakers trying to comprehend things via context.

E.g. A German telling his English friend, "I'll meet you at the gymnasium". The sentence is correct, and makes perfect sense to both. But they'll end up at two different places.

You know what? A stick arrangement would actually be cool. And not having to regularly change the water is an added bonus.
