Making things is Godot actually feels a lot like making Flash games used to

Please do. I did so yesterday. I am sure many within Labor hate it too, but the federal government needs to feel the pressure of this colossal fuckup, so they know that the Australian people still take international law very seriously.

All the good stuff still exists (and there is more of it, in fact). But it is no longer the mainstream. The popular discourse is always around what is happening on the major platforms, but there is constantly great creativity happening over at Neocities and MakerTube, just to name a couple platforms. Hell, even YouTube and TikTok have amazing stuff happening on them. It's just not the top-viewed content.

One of the best things you can do is stop using algorithmic recommendations for a few weeks. Download the Unhook plugin for YouTube, etc. Then you actually choose the internet media you are exploring.

This is a CEO who shares opinions on many things he is truly uninformed on.

I recently switched from Linux Mint to Ubuntu Studio. Both are fantastic and intuitive. Ubuntu Studio just has more of the Linux audio configuration worked out by default.

Reading Connected Places and being reminded that the Fediverse is truly one of the greatest technical-social innovations in recent history. And we get to be part of it :)

I am shattered that this was our government's response, even though they don't have to appeal to right-wing voters anymore.

They've lost their values in their attempt to be politically savvy, and I believe they've just put Australia on the wrong side of history.

I listened to the whole audiobook in a day - one of the best books I've purchased recently. As someone who has been very much into the techno-futurists over the last 15 years, I would suggest this book, along with Manu Saadia's Trekonomics for a much needed reality-check.

Hey all,

I just released minimal_worlds_ii - an album of Game Boy music made entirely with Furnace Tracker. All project files are available through the individual track pages, and all music files are Public Domain / CC0!

If you do like what you hear, worth knowing all other albums on that page are Public Domain, and all of the recent ones also have their source projects available (basically since I got really into FOSS and started structuring my projects in a way that could be easily shared)

Cheers :)
