This is one of those things that just can’t be true. (Regarding consensual sex)

Bettertouchtool

I can’t use a Mac without it. Just read the website, it does damn near everything, and just as good as Apple would in most cases.

But if I had to describe it (poorly) it remaps gestures on nearly any input device, including the stream deck and many Logitech devices (MxMaster!). The custom gesture support is linear, meaning that the animations track with your fingers/input rather than just pop onto place (like how you can “peek” into Mission Control” and the old launchpad with trackpad gestures).

Fun fact, cabovers are super common in southern AZ.

No TV in the bedroom for me. No need, really. The bedroom is for sex and sleep, nothing else.

It’s not an exact science, but I’m pretty good at it with dogs and horses.

Every other EV has a 50% range penalty while towing. This won’t be any different. The ~85 kilowatt hour battery in the state truck is the same-ish capacity as the model Y, but has 2/3 less range total than the model Y. Sadly, there’s no way that it’s more efficient than the model Y.

That said, for sure using the bed to haul tools would be more efficient, but now you’re talking about using gas tools because there’s not enough capacity in the truck to charge them up between jobs. They needed to make this thing the “model 3/Y, but a truck”, but they failed even at that.

Phone on left. Bundle of keys on the right. Dick typically goes right, but I try to even it out once in a while.

Considering that trans-surgeons make it look easy, you could totally do some mechanical foreskin restoration then finish up with an extra dump of skin from your scrotum/inguinal area.

The long range model’s EPA range is 240mi, so 120mi while towing, more like 100mi considering that you absolutely cannot run an EV 100 to 0, and that’s best case scenario. That maximum 100mi is not enough for a day of landscaping.

The slate software is in no way going to be the industry standard. Car manufacturers are all looking to create parasitic software for their cars.

Slate is DOA based solely on how terrible the range will be.

To be fair, I’m waiting on the R2 as well, but I’m strapping in for first generation fit and finish issues galore. Rivian hasn’t surpassed Tesla in software or aftermarket flexibility.

Not to mention, we probably won’t be able to take delivery until late this year despite paying for a reservation from this past March.

The bz4x/bz/Solterra is still the worst EV on the road, bar none.

Worst range of all EVs, flip phone quality software center stack, and the same price as a model y. It’s nuts that anyone would buy those pieces of shit.

I’m trying to get into some podcasts that are similar to Rogan’s podcasts in that I want a quasi-informational/comedic/celebrity talk show that has a healthy sense of humor.

I like technology, current events, investigative journalism, well thought out argument, etc.

I’m trying to find podcasts where the hosts or guests are generally funny, and won’t hesitate to swear, say disparaging things, and be authentic. I’m not looking for a podcast where people are badmouthing for clout or just to be a pain in the ass.

I’m just really not into listening to adults that talk like they’re afraid that [insert person] is going to scold them for using bad language because “their kids listen to their show”. Also, not a corporate shill would be nice.

I’ve been liking Jon Stewart’s podcast, but it doesn’t have enough variety. I listened to “HowStuffWorks” for a good while and just straight up stopped listening because of the above reasoning. MKBHD is a “good” podcast, but it doesn’t get nearly “sweaty” enough for me when it comes to technology; they just talk about headlines/stories that come from the Verge and/or are far too surface-level.

I’m still in the saga of trying to switch to android and hit another roadblock lol. I’m looking for a web browser that implements gesture navigation with linear animations like on iOS. The closest browser I’ve found is opera GX, but the PC/MacOS version of opera runs like shit with 30fps animations for all the UI elements.

May be a mean sounding question, but I’m genuinely wondering why people would choose Arch/Endevour/whatever (NOT on steam hardware) over another all-in-one distro related to Fedora or Ubuntu. Is it shown that there are significant performance benefits to installing daemons and utilities à la carte? Is there something else I’m missing? Is it because arch users are enthusiasts that enjoy trying to optimize their system?

[Edit] To answer my question, yes, Dropbox does indeed store its application information in your user's /home folder by default. As long as you don't wipe your /home folder, you should be good to go once you reinstall the Dropbox app after reformatting/reinstalling your distro (Tested with a few Fedora-based distros, YMMV if you use Debian/Arch). I didn't have to re-login; the Dropbox app just worked.

Is it possible to reinstall Linux (or distro hop) without losing my Dropbox install? Could I move the Dropbox install to my home folder so it survives the OS install?

My use case: I have an M3 MacBook, but a much more flexible and powerful gaming PC that I'd like to hook up to my MacBook to act as a display receiver with zero/low latency. I make use of the MacOS virtual desktops and would ideally want to be able to fullscreen an app that just sits there and will display the input when I turn on my PC.

Same thing under Linux: I'd like to connect a console to the gaming PC which then displays on MacOS. I don't play any competitive console games, so I'm not necessarily worried about a small amount of latency (<50ms).

Currently, I have both my Linux gaming PC and MacBook connected to the same monitor, but have to switch between the inputs on the monitor itself. I want to be able to be within MacOS/Linux and just flip on a display input and connect my peripherals to the other PC and use it seamlessly, for example, I'd connect my controller and boot into Steam Big-Screen and game. If I need to web search something, I can just use my trackpad to change virtual desktops, do something, then swap back.

Is there something like a lightweight OBS that will ONLY display the input once it's all set up? I want the app window to be literally the Menu Bar with Close/Maximize and nothing else so I can just fullscreen the app and never see anything but the input itself.

Kovi loves the attention 🙂
