It doesn't matter who you voted for, neither group is putting the effort needed to protest and shut what the government is doing down. All parties are culpable to what is going on.

Im no different, I'm also guilty of this, but I recognize I need to do more and I'm trying.

Feeling righteous and indignant on the internet moves progress backwards and allows the bots to win.

If I remeber what they put correctly, i think it's a bit silly that it was moderated. There used to be a reddit inside joke called a switcheroo where you intentionally misinterpret the parent comment in a way that would have also made grammatical sense. The joke is the word play, its not deeper than that.

If it was more than that, and I'm seeing they had another comment that was moderated and I have no idea what it said, fair game.

If you can speak to the specifics of why you found the writing bad, I think thats fine. If your critique is just "writing was bad". Well then maybe think on it for longer before sharing your opinion if you dont want to be lumped in with the chuds who also arent going past skin deep with the same opinion.

I have major issues with The Last of Us 2, a game that was also piled on by right wing chuds. I did enjoy the game, but there are issues i have with character motivations where I think the story writers didn't do enough to convince me that the characters had the conviction they were portrayed as having. I also feel the game had a clear ending that was acceptable and then decided to tack on an additional section because I guess they wanted to resolve somethings that were better left unresolved.

Other than the driving plot forward, once you're able to ignore some things yeah, enjoyable game, with some missed potential.

Ultimately I also think its about recognizing that these things are other peoples yums, and i think critiquing them is ok, but stating something like bad writing is objective and doesn't seem subjective. You are denying someone who thought the writing was good. You're allowed to not like something, but dont yuck it.

I went to Japan with 3 friends, all of us male. The itinerary was public and shared, we made discussions on where we were going each day. In train stations and cities all 3 of them asked me how was it that I didnt need to pause and could just keep walking to our next location. I pointed out the signs with perfectly legible english/romanji. The signage in Japan is great.

I get compliments on my perception, and refer to it as a minor super power of mine, but I think it's because I'm just constantly looking around.

While you have a point, are you suggesting we continue to let them be victimized by doing nothing and continue on with the status quo? Sometimes forests have to burn and the old has to die to let new life flourish. Such is a fact of nature.

I used to, but i slowly just merged them all into one. It was exhausting.

You see i did vote blue so this doesnt include me, but logically, you could make the exact opposite argument. This is what the DNC wanted by not courting people who clearly defined what it would have taken to get their vote. I dont agree with the protest voters actions, but i do agree with their principles.

Agreed. Intelligence isn't something someone can just change. IQ despite being a faulty and flawed metric is also largely influenced through one's environment during childhood. The other things are changeable, IQ really isn't changeable in adulthood when we finally gain more control over our environment to make that change.

Its like putting down someone for where they were born, the color of thier skin, or otherwise. Saying something like "easily manipulated" or "lack of self awareness" would have conveyed the same vibe without the ignorance.
