That doesn't really narrow it down, I'm sorry.

I see. But what is Chernenko's vision actually?

Same I think Yegor Ligachev also is interesting though by younger Chernenko what does that mean?

If I recall correctly he wanted to focus on improving the Soviet Union's light industry, fight against corruption of the party bureaucracy and privileges, also continue self-criticism. He would've continued the course of Stalin albeit a bit softer. Sadly he was outmaneuvered by Khrushchev and forced from his position as First Secretary, he joined with Molotov and Kaganovich to oust Khrushchev in 1956 but were instead ousted themselves from the Party by the Central Committee as they had the final say.

Hey, I actually already asked a question pertaining to Grigory Romanov, Mikhail Gorbachev's "rival" to power in Freechat but never got any response so I want to ask again if anyone can provide good enough information though a lot of it has been really scarce or conflicting with him being a reformer who agreed to Andropov, a conservative or a staunch yet pragmatic communist. Thoughts about him are also welcome.

Not really because in a way he knew that his actions were going to destroy socialism but he didn't care nor understood.

So it adds that Gorbachev was not an experienced leader unlike Andropov?

I honestly hope Zyuganov gets removed and the Party will have a better chance some day at actually making a difference. The CPRF to me is such a mess that basically cheerleads Russia uncritically and supports its bourgeois but I hope the young guard can change the party.

Yes! Very impressive!

Hey guys, just asking if anyone has an opinion on Grigory Romanov given that some consider him either a Brezhnevite, he seems to have been smeared a lot by Gorbachev but he could've been no better than Chernenko yet some say he's hardline yet pragmatic (I got this from the althist manuscript Pax Sovietica) so far it's all probably conjecture.
