Just say that he's on the Council of Foreign Relations. Basically he's being paid to be a cheerleader for Amerikan empire. That's enough for most libs to understand, especially with everything going on right now.

Is it George Orwell? Often I'll just attach the author, as most anti-communist author's have A LOT of skeletons in their closet.

He said he doesn't believe in parental authority. After she left the room he called her a red fash.

Deleted my saved games. Said that property is bullshit.

Literally every Maoist I know does this. Fuck all of you and take out the bin rubbish. Cuz you all just leave it for me.

Like we'll open the box and immediately the anarchists take the best slices. Like every time.

Also I don't mind if you want another slice. And I don't mind if you don't want to eat the crust. But damn there's like 5 square centimetres of vegan cheese on there. Finish that before you move onto another slice.

Also they use WAY more ice than they need. Like seriously you can't even put any Coke in your cup, there's too much fucking ice in there.

This is why I just show up to Food Not Bombs events and just quietly stare at the organisers. They ask if I want to help out, but I just answer "nah brah" and continue watching Facebook shorts on my phone.

I grew up in the 90s and living with parents into adulthood was considered very bad (for silly reasons). I do regret not pushing past those ideas at the time.

I contributed to this, but I always thought that the Western obsession with moving out at 18 was really weird and wasteful. Obviously everyone is different, but when I've talked to non Western residents who do family housing, one saves money on rent, food, housework, etc. Old people are cared for and have something to do, parents get help with baby sitting, kids haves more adult interactions.

That said, I've talked to enough non Western residents who this setting failed for them because their family was toxic. I'm sure that happens too.

I don't pretend to know about this very well, so please forgive me if this sounds like an authoritative word.

I've been posting faithfully in this comm for 20 years!

I'm almost 50! Who's going to let me post in their comm in my age?!?

Ya this video was 90% good. As other people have commented, he did lib "but Stalin totalitarian tho", but most of his points were spot on. Even I learned a bit.

I checked out other videos in his channel and I was very disappointed.

I have to say, I admire Grover Furr for being just so damn obsessed with debunking claims against Stalin. He's me, but better, and with a tenure. I've wasted hundreds of hours of my life editing bs on Wikipedia that I'll never get back.

It feels like many of you were raised by a family of pirates. Everything is f this and s that. "I'm gonna lick you in your a-hole", etc. Unlike you group of feral wolves, I was raised by a good family that cares about morality. My mum taught me about right and wrong, and using curse words demonstrates a clear problem with your character.

Also many of us browse Hexbear with small children and/or elderly relatives. I know you jerks don't care how you come of, but please don't teach your disgusting piece-of-snot habits to my young children. By Josh, let's keep this space family friendly!

Wow capitalism broke everything, we should do capitalism harder.

I gave up weed since I was a teenager. I have a very active inner monologue, my therapists have always said that I intellectualise everything, which isn't a good thing. Weed smoking just makes my inner demons even louder, me more anxious, and the over analysing even more over done. Maybe it'll be different because it's been 20 years, and supposedly cannibis breeding has made strains that don't make you paranoid???

NOPE

Thankfully I didn't take bong rips like 18 year old me used to. (Do you all even still call them bong rips). Even just a couple of puffs brought back the old self hatred and paranoia.

The only good thing is that middle aged me is better at arguing against my inner demons than teenager me. My life sucks because this system sucks, not because I suck. Some people hate me because they're materially comfortable descendants of settlers and colonisers who still take the side of empire in 2025. I'm lonely because this system is alienating AF.

I put on positive commie music for two hours and sang along, literally crying for much of it. I feel asleep to Columbo.

tldr: if weed made you paranoid at 18, it might still make you paranoid in your 40s.

Given what's going on in the FDA now, I'm (maybe irrationally) nervous about this.

This is what you get for besting me:

A quiet reminder that literally everyone hates Zizek

I hope this post doesn't come off as really resentful. I'm not overly stressing the money.

In the past year or so I've had old friends ask to borrow a few hundred dollars here or there. Honestly it's not overly shady as it's people I'm actively meeting up with, and we've known each other for decade(s). And it's people I'm pretty close with and legit love, so I'm not happy that they're stressing, so I can toss them a loan.

And when the time comes that they were supposed to pay me back, oh some excuse. I don't want to be too upset as they're probably unhappy about the situation as well.

The thing is, it's friends who own their homes and both partners own a car. I still rent a small flat and I take the bus or train everywhere. I just assume they're massively in debt to everyone. This is probably a symptom of larger problems in the world.

Not a rant, I can manage.

I can understand why some people support socialism. I would also like to have subsidised health care and the Green New Deal. I also would like to see people's student loans forgiven after they've opened up a nonprofit in a marginalised underwater community for five years. It's unpopular, but call me radical.

But I've been talking to some tankies on lemmygrad. Did you know that they support Yoseph Vissarionovichich Stalin?!?!?

Stalin was born outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Immediately after becoming a man, he turned to crime. In 1901, he and his criminal friends attacked a prison, showing no respect for law and order. They also murdered an innocent Czarist agent trying to infiltrate the Social Democrats. After arresting Stalin, he was so bad that the Czarist authorities sent him to gulag (which hadn't been invented yet) in Siberia.

In 1907, Stalin organised a bank heist with took 250,000 rubles. THis was the Czar's money and they had to right to steal it.

To top it all off, once the Red Army turned back the Germans at the Battle of Stalingrad, one of the first places to be liberated was CRIMEa. I rest my case.

Maybe you're right (I don't follow this thing very closely), but it was news to me.

Dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. Sorry, that must feel very frustrating.

I agree with most of what you're saying. I think that "online communism" can be a good starting point for people, as it was for me. But as one develops, there's less and less that can be learned from videos and online forums.

No disrespect to any streamer, but even the ones I respect (The Deprogram, Richard Wolfe, or Democracy Comes Home), I hardly watch them because I don't feel like I'm learning anything. But I am grateful for where they brought me.

I guess online communities are good for an alternative community. I keep Hexbear as it keeps me from proprietary social media. But I don't have much hopes for it beyond entertainment and a few small good things it has. I think the second that the Fediverse becomes dangerous to capital, they'll find a way to shut us down.

People start getting followings of fans that will defend them just because they like them.

Ya it's super sad. I recommend staying clear of all that drama, if possible.
