Teacher friend of mine (ex friend) came out saying ice just arrested drug dealers and bad people and no one else. Uh. She married for a green card, so I hope that works out for her.

Oh we are. But alas, pesky standards.

Indeed. It’s Wholesome.

I roll mine like a little sausage. They don’t wrinkle and it’s fast. Also I suck at folding.

It’s like one giant Groupon to someone else’s dementia room and we’re all trapped inside.

I’m sure they’re making that entirely up. No one is a super star on their first birth, let alone someone who is physically not finished developing.

I think one other thing that’s super important to add on to this list is “desirable partners.” The current generation of young men have leaned hard into the alt-right pipeline while young women have become more left leaning as their rights are being threatened loudly and chipped away at globally.

And guess who the fathers to those teen pregnancies are? It’s men over 20. Adding a layer of ick to what he’s lamenting.

Tbh I think they really only slowed down because it was the absolute dead of winter.

This is a good point to bring up. My friend who is far less educated and her husband have awful jobs compared to me, but because they have generational wealth they are much better off in life. They have homes, land, etc all because they were passed down. At the same time, they would rail against being called privileged, but they could sell that home for half a million dollars and never go into the debts or put in the work others have to just to have a roof over their heads.

Glad I’m not alone, but also sad

(This is just meant to be lighthearted.)

On my way home after a long week, a chonky orange crossed my path. Lucky me! I think?

I work in behavioral healthcare. I have a good job and many skills. I don’t have bad habits. But I realize that my status as a single parent means that I am viewed differently even among my cohort. It’s such a garbage feeling. I guess a small part of me thought that wouldn’t matter if I made enough money and maintained my appearance. But it really, really does. The only people interested in my company aren’t interested in my humanity. Thanks for reading.
