Same here. A local store had a Black Friday sale that Echoes of Wisdom qualified for, despite only being released within the last couple months, so I snagged it. But I still haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

I looked into it a while back, but it seemed more complicated than I needed it to be, and was oriented around notes being written on certain dates. What I wanted to set up was something more like a simple markdown wiki, with interlinked pages.

I use Markor on my phone and Notepad++ on my computer.

I also have Obsidian, which isn't FOSS and is built to save files with every change which I don't like, but has some nice display features. I mostly use that one for viewing Markdown files, and the other two for writing them.

If they just stop watching, they're not wielding power over people they hate.

All of the conservative handwringing over "cancel culture" for the better part of the past decade was them wishing they could do all the canceling themselves.

I ran across the term "social murder" a while back, which seems to describe the type of murder that Brian Thompson was guilty of.

Might be a UK thing. Here in the US I don't think I've ever been to a theater that allowed any outside food or drink. I doubt it's because of safety, I'm pretty sure it's because it would cut into their profits from concession stand sales.

To be fair, a lot of movie theaters ban bringing in outside food. At least in my experience. I agree with just not eating though. It would certainly be healthier to decouple moviegoing from snacking.

Because that would entail extra effort and cost in order to benefit humanity in general, and why do that when they can just keep more profit for themselves?

In my case it was a music composition app (Xewton Music Studio) that used to have both Android and iOS versions, but then some other company bought them out and discontinued the Android version.

I still have my old phone since it has at least one paid app on it that was removed from the Play store. I can't download the app I paid money for to my new phone, but I can still use the copy installed on my old phone.

Realizing this has completely dissuaded me from spending money on apps, but that's a whole other thing...

Is it possible to convert an existing Home installation to a Pro installation without completely wiping the system and reinstalling everything?
