If I make a typo, rather than autocorrecting or deleting a few characters I delete the whole word and re-type it from the beginning. That way the correct spelling gets into my muscle memory and Iβm much less likely to make the typo again in the future.

This. Been doing this for decades and it's great. Still fuck certain words up for some reason tho. Separate, people, etc.
βieβ vs βeiβ are my kryptonite. e.g. receive, sieve.
I after E except after C and when sounded like A as in neighbor and weigh (and a thousand other exceptions)
Yup, I get seize backwards a lot cause it violates the i before e except after c rule.
Maybe if you think real hard about a person going into a seizure and flinging themselves backwards, it'll pop back in your head the next time you go to type "seize" and help you remember.
If I make a typo, I try to keep as many of the letters on the page as possible - no need to throw them away and use new ones. Waste not.
Doing sport, regullary. It keeps me fit, healthy and sane. It gave me some pride in my achievements and more power in the long run. Even if it sometimes stressy to fit time for it in my schedule, it is worth it. It also taught me that I am able to do more than I thought, a very valuable lesson for me.
I always finish what I sta
Oh shit, it's Candleja-
Is this a wild Candlejack reference? Better tell everyone to avoid saying Candlejack. Hey everyone! Donβt say Candlejaβ
Variants like "scandal jacker" also trigger it and-
I record events of the day, daily. Been going to for a year. Just a quick jot of the most eventful thing of the day. Nice to look back and remember things that happened through the year.
Use an app called "Daily You" in F-droid to help me organize it all, if anyone is interested.
Following my weightlifting routine (tactical barbell). I'm on a 38 week streak and I don't have the words to describe how much better I feel, and how much it has improved my life over the last few years. If anyone is even remotely interested in getting in shape, it's so worth it
I havenβt always had this habit, but I brush my teeth twice a day and floss before bed.
I make my bed every day.
I hate how hard I'm having to think about this
Youre probably bring too hard on yourself
Your best habit is taking time to fully think things through before acting on it
Exercising regularly! I do it because it gives me a kind of rush, but I realize that it's also making me healthier in the long run (hehe)
Returning the shopping cart
Thank you. I couldn't figure out anything I do right, but this is the thing I always do.
I was a carry-out at my local hardware store for a few years in college. I brought carts in from the corrals and helped people load heavy stuff. I've seen and been victim to the damage caused when a rogue cart catches the wind and fucks off down the parking lot. People that leave their cart not in a corral or inside disgust me more than more most lazy people.
You're my hero, dude.
I never hit snooze. I get up once my alarm goes off.
Probably helps that I sleep like absolute shit and was already tossing and turning anyway lol
oh dude, me too.
Sad high five o/

Sad high five indeed lol
Not looking at my keyboard when typing. I switched to colemak last year, and since then I've managed to get into the habit of typing without looking. Which is very useful now that my keyboard stickers are starting to come off so it shows some letters twice and others not at all π
On the weekend I will go for a 8.5mi hike to a abandoned fire tower and eat lunch. Same hike but I always see something different.
I've gotten better at saying please and thank you often, I guess
I sprint stairs. Always. 3-5 a time, always have always will (until that future fateful day....)
Telling my kids I love them, regularly and randomly. My parents only told me they loved me after yelling at me (or worse) and it took a long time for me to understand the toll that's had on my relationships with them.
Out of the 31 meals i eat per week, i usually cook at least 27...most of those from scratch.
Youβre eating 4-5 meals a day? Bodybuilder?
Sounds like your kids are gonna be alright!
Always finish a shower with cold water!
I always put stuff in the same spot so I don't have to look for it or think about where it is. Everything in my wallet has a place, everything in my pockets always goes in the same pockets, my work ID goes in the same place when not in use, my sunglasses have a spot on the counter at home, and on and on. Greatly simplifies things and reduces stress not having to think about where stuff is or might be.
Every day, at some point, I think of three things for which Iβm grateful.
Learn to cook the veggies right.
Some veggies taste better roasted. Experiment
Probably writing. I make sure to write a little every day. I feel like it helps me keep a rhythm and allows me to reflect on the things I care about, the things I'm thinking about, and what I've done that day.
That way I get it out if the way then I can enjoy the rest of meal without having to worry about eating it.
I always find it so weird to hear that there really are people that genuinely dislike vegetables. Or am I misunderstanding this? I love veggies :D
Oh, it's not that I don't like them. But if I have the option to eat a steak or some veggies, I'd rather eat the steak.
Well, to each their own :D
I like some but dislike most. I love peas, corn, (soft) carrots, black eyed peas. Green beans are meh, depends how they're cooked. Can't do broccoli or asparagus or spinach or any of the really green stuff.
I'm rather colourblind, so I'm really not sure what the really green stuff is. Are peas not really green? I thought they were orange for a very long time, but I'm pretty sure I've been told they're green, actually.
Black eyed peas freaking rock. I love black eyed pea salad with onion and tuna. A shame you don't vibe with broccoli... I love roasted broccoli, especially. Oh well!
Green beans, broccoli, spinach, brussels sprouts, stuff like that. Peas are green but they're kind of a lighter green instead fo the darker green of those foods.
Hmmm yeah, I guess I just don't get it - or don't see it, more accurately.
Unsolicited advice incoming!
Green beans stir-fried with tofu or something are great. Could also try broccoli stir-fried; if you manage to cook them just enough that they still have some snap, they're great.
Asparagus painted with butter, grilled, then served with lemon juice squeezed over them are heavenly.
Spinach I only like fresh so I sympathize.
I really dislike tofu, the taste and texture both are just blech. However, I don't universally hate green beans; a friend of mine makes this green bean and potato casserole with dill flavoring and that shit is great. But just by themselves, boiled or whatever, meh.
Asparagus painted with butter, grilled, then served with lemon juice squeezed over them are heavenly.
At that point you're just burying the flavor of the asparagus with butter and lemon juice, and I can think of better-tasting things to convey those flavors. ;)
