Those stairs look quite old. Could be a food storage area like someone else mentioned. And it makes sense because it's well built and hidden well. Probably to keep passers by and animals out.

Well if a kid in a garage can make a partial nuclear reactor... Maybe make an EMP?

Edit: not a true reactor, but he was able to make some parts for it and supposedly got worried about the the amount radioactive material he had and began dismantling it but got caught with radioactive material.

I had something similar and it was about $500, thing was a piece of junk. Could barely cut a stick with a diameter of around 3 inches despite being rated for 6 inches (no it wasn't from a hardwood tree)

I ended up selling it for $250 and felt bad for the person buying it thinking that it will clean there yard up from the severe weather we had a year ago.

They have a recieve range of 134-176 I think and 420-480, as long as it's standard analog you should be able program in some fun things to listen to.

I have one setup for railroad frequencies and I hear some unique conversations.

In my family we literally have a refrigerator that has been passed down 2 generations. First it was my grandmothers, then it was my dad's and now it's mine.

The thing is a tank, clean it out and do preventative maintenance every so often and it should live longer then me.

Some antenna's you can trim if they are reading a high SWR. Another thing thing I do with my mobile antenna is I check for any rust after the winter months because the salt can really wear your antenna out

I had a person park in front of my driveway, throw on hazards and disappear for an hour and their battery ended up dying. She ended up walking up to the door and asking for a jump. I declined help and somewhat politely informed her not to park in front of driveways.

Few month later it turns out my neighbor was cheating with this woman.

Yeah I estimated around 90ft however I lost around 9 and a half feet to turns and bends and was left with a few inches to spare. There's a little bit of slack but it's hard to tell.

Yeah I tried to teach her not to click on links and stuff. She goes past all the warnings and enters everything. She no longer clicks on the rich Russian man get free money stuff or your computer is infected call us. But she still gets fooled by all the well crafted phishing attempts and it doesn't help that she is on every mailing list under the sun.

Surprised nobody has tried to buy a house in her name, it would be a good wakeup call. I mostly did this so because some nasty piece of malware was able to jump over the network from her computer to my mom's computer and almost steal all of the credentials to her bank accounts. Thank God for MFA.

Took me about 3 and a half hours to do this. Looks good, now I need to get off the couch and begin segmenting the network for when my SO clicks on a green download button.

I used to be that way too, decided I was going to splurge on 2 fixed yagi's and 1 yagi on a rotor and they are all 30 feet above my roof and I pick up around 60 some channels.

Hello y'all, I recently got a cheap uv-5r off of Amazon so I could use APRS in a off the grid location, however I'm encountering a large set of problems with the radio.

First off all, I already tried the 3 finger unlock, doesn't work. Second off, I can program channels into it with chirp, but the radio will only beep if you press ptt. Only channels 1-30 will transmit, however if you change any of it in chirp it seems to revert back to gmrs.

Thanks for any help in advance.
