He was wearing a bulletproof vest, so I think that means he was asking for it, right?

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 11 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Was he? I'm not saying he definitely wasn't, but I haven't seen any reporting saying that, and the images/video that I've seen didn't make me think that.

Conspiracy theories are already saying he had increased security and started wearing bullet proof vests, but I doubt there's any truth in that

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I also saw a video clip of obvious security people in plainclothes doing baseball signs just before the shot, the theories are gonna come fast and furious.

I mean, maybe he did start wearing a vest, but nothing I've seen so far tells me he was wearing a vest yesterday in Utah.

I've seen the same clip. Charlie Kirk was in the process of answering a follow-up audience question so it could have just as easily been an event coordinator communicating to whomever was running around with a microphone in the audience to get the next audience question ready and potentially even indicating what kind of question they were after given the complexity of the signal

Source? Mf was in a t shirt

I know there are vests that aren't obvious but no one has said that.

Should have been a bullet proof turtle neck.

His body got shut down though

[–] arin@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago

He should have stayed in the kitchen

I guess it's about Charlie Kirk. And it's opposed to what is said about women raped: what was she wearing, and if it's really a rape she will not have children because the body will reject it

Specifically, a politician from ~~Texas~~ Missouri said the first thing almost verbatim. He's dead now, too

If he was a legitimate Christian the body would have a way to shut down the cancer.

He was actually from Missouri

[–] ALoafOfBread@lemmy.ml 6 points 10 months ago

Shit, thanks. Corrected

[–] derry@midwest.social 3 points 10 months ago

Missouri, kinda like north Texas.
