Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

President Trump, under fire over his administration’s handling of the Epstein files, escalated his distract-and-deflect strategy on Tuesday, accusing former President Barack Obama of treason and declaring, “It’s time to go after people.”

I will say, finally I am seeing consistent headlines that include how whatever dumbassery he's doing is an effort to distract from Epstein. It's like most of media finally got the memo not to just repeat his lies as the headline. They're all tying it back to Epstein.

[–] Saleh@feddit.org 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Be careful though. Most of them try to make child raping with Epstein an issue solely associated with Trump, instead of it being an issue associated with many US and some foreign elites, as well as it probably being a Mossad blackmail operation.

Note how Trump has been fighting against his own base to do the bidding for Israel recently.

I don't disagree with you. I was actually thinking who else might be on the list and if Trump is getting pressured from foreign and local elites to keep this buried. Just to clarify when I say I want the truth to come out, I meant I want those that have hurt a child get penalised regardless of who they are.

Biden didnt release it either so we know the elites are on both sides. Prince Andrew was on the flight logs.

[–] zero@feddit.xyz 14 points 10 months ago

That's why I think it's important we keep talking about this so the truth come out.

better add carter in there just in case.

Next trump will expose the corruption of Democrat James Buchanan's administration from 1856. Nothing is as important as shining light of truth on Democrat Presidential government corruption...even if it predates the civil war. This is far more important that whether trump was involved with Epstein. /s

Trumps diversion from his perversion.

[–] selkiesidhe@sh.itjust.works 19 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Distraction.

Release the Epstein files, PEDOnald

[–] nomy@lemmy.zip 8 points 10 months ago

Oh shit PEDOnald works so good, I love it.

[–] redsand@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 10 months ago

Gee. Bill Clinton. What pedophile was he associated with? He had a painting of Bill in his Florida home. Hanging right on the tip of my tongue...

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 12 points 10 months ago

Now THIS is the way everyone should be doing headlines right now. Add that part about Trumpstein at every opportunity.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Distraction, distraction, distraction. Why wont we stop with this Epstein thing? There must be more evidence than he can get disappeared.

[–] Joeffect@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Quick think of someone to blame...Obama... How dare he do all these things

Wow so Trump recons his pedo mate, Epstein, has all the dirt in his files! No wonder he’s frantic!

[–] thedruid@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

He's right. Time to go after that traitor with orange skin

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 8 points 10 months ago (2 children)

He's using this to deflect from Epstein which he's using to deflect from the atrocities in Gaza

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 19 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Do you really think Trump gives 2 shits about the atrocities in Gaza and is trying to cover them up? This man has only ever cared about himself.

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

No I don't think he gives two shits, but I think it's strange that he's met with Netanyahu multiple times in the last 6 months and pandered to his insistence that the US bomb Iran out of the blue, particularly when Trump campaigned on a platform of not getting involved in more middle east bullshit.

If there was evidence that Trump was involved in a pedo ring then the previous admins would have jumped on it, so Trump's probably fat headed enough (or his handlers at the heritage institute are) to think it's a good idea it as a way to chew up media time while more nefarious shit takes place (local concentration camps, workers rights being stripped, genocide in Gaza by their pals). Now it's getting out of control (everyone thinks Trump is a pedo, and maybe someone will dig up something he already tried to bury) so they need a new distraction so people worry about being distracted from the existing distraction and forget about the other issues.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 10 months ago

gaza and the BBB, unfortunately for him the epstein thing was part of his campaign, thats why his supporters arnt letting it go.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Obama is beyond reproach. And everyone knows bill was a frequent flyer, at this point I don't think anyone cares about Bill one way or the other.

RELEASE THE FILES!

[–] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Obama is beyond reproach

The Deporter In Chief who built the cages, bombed a dozen countries, and expanded/legitimized the spying we all agreed was bad when Bush did it would be hanged if we applied the principles used at the Nuremberg trials. That said, I have no reason to believe he has raped anyone, unlike Clinton, Biden, and Trump.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 4 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

...killed 12,000 civilians, bombed a doctors without borders hospital, ordered extrajudicial assassinations of American citizens. Obama is a lot of things. "Beyond reproach" sure as fuck isn't one of them.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

ordered extrajudicial assassinations of American citizens

Authorized the killings of Americans who were enemy combatants in (for example) Al-Qaida camps. Not at all the same thing.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

A trainer is not a combatant. The man's children weren't even that, they were just children.

[–] TwinTitans@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

Release the files Donald
