I understand that both Obama and Clinton deported more people from the US.. but the way they did it may support the argument that Trump’s method was more about the display of terror and meeting his bases expectation to meet his campaign promise of hurting the other people.

Cruelty was always the point.
MAGA won't admit it, but they didn't vote for their own prosperity at the price of others' - they purely voted to make things worse for "the enemy".
At the cost of their own prosperity, as they are slowly figuring out.
Gang Of Psychos
Don't insult Juggalos like that.
Yeah you just need to look at how many legal residents, American born citizens were detained, deported, and how many people were killed during each administration to confirm your suspicion.
So you're saying they both did horrible things but one party did it in a way that gets their team to vote for them and the other party did it in a different way that was designed to get their team to vote for them?
Not really beating that Blue MAGA accusation
Well supporting immigration limits and rule of law is kinda a good thing, no? 'How' matters a lot here.
LOL, "rule of law". Are you honestly saying that without even a shred of awareness? The rule of law is a euphemism for murdering the poor. Immigration limits are needed because the Western world has been totally destroying the homes and lives of the global majority for 600 years.
In b4 you're downvoted. This is OBJECTIVELY true.
We have quite literally caused mass migration by war, famine, coups, and other forms of imperialism. And this is no where more clear than Latin America. We're still actively fucking them over, and will continue to until this bloated empire ceases being one
The rule of law is the rule of law. You can mean what you want, but by default it means what it is. Without laws (which we are dangerously close to with the ruling elite now), we have no society. You can want higher immigration, and accommodation for people already integrated - and that's great, but I suspect you still want the law to regulate immigration somehow.
You're username is a wonderful tell
You might think that, but I'm not even in your shitty country.
Then why the fuck are you commenting on our politics! In the USA, the rule of law has produced the largest carceral state in the history of humanity. The US rule of law imprisons more people per capita than the Soviet GULAG did at its height and imprisons multiple times more people than China has ever imprisoned. The rule of law in the USA is a farce.
Unfortunately, the collapse of the U.S. affects other countries around the world. And I can comment on whatever the fuck I want to comment on. Yes the rule of law in the U.S. is a farce. But that doesn't mean a civil society shouldn't have laws. Specifically immigration regulation is often required to manage resources and prevent overloading.

Caused by the centuries of continuous violence brought upon the majority of the peoples of the world by European empire
You are only accounting for half the equation. Why are there so many refugees from Haiti coming to the USA? Because of what the French did over the course of several centuries and what English, Americans, Canadians, Spanish, Portuguese, and others decided to do in support of what the French did.
Had Europeans not gone out and raped the world they wouldn't need immigration controls that allowed their most vaunted progressive leader to deport over 3 million people while drone striking weddings and funerals.
You are correct that European empires have done unimaginable harm. However, be careful not to strip agency away from the Haitian people themselves. To state that everything is a consequence of white people is to suggest that the Haitians have no control of anything and no agency. It's almost like an accidental racism where nothing is attributable to people of color.
This is not meant to excuse anything the Europeans did, but evil can be found in all cultures. Immigration, economic disasters, and authoritarian takeovers would still happen without white imperialism.
Whether you intend it or not, this is a form of apologia.
The island that Haiti sits on would be completely inhabited by Taino right now if it wasn't for the forcible European genocide. The people of Haiti today would not be descended from West Africa if not for the forcible human trafficking and enslavement of those people. The island would not split between Haiti and the DR if it were not for forcible European colonization backed up by overwhelming violence.
Obviously the people of Haiti have agency - they are the only successful slave revolt against Europeans. They have more agency than almost anyone else on the planet. But the fact that they are on that island, speak French, were human trafficked, split the island with the DR, and so many other things are absolutely the fault of the Europeans and the Haitians act with their agency within that forced context.
It's almost like you're saying that the Haitian people had sufficient agency to liberate themselves from their French slavers and therefore they also have the agency to take responsibility for the financial consequences, when France decided to levy a debt on Haiti for each slave they lost ownership of and every other European nation agreed. Haiti could have used their agency to say "fuck you we won't pay such a debt" but then literally every single country around them was literally a European settler state and they would have no way to trade with anyone to feed their people. So they were forced, again, by Europeans to honor the debt they incurred by freeing themselves from forced European bondage. And then the US invaded Haiti and stole all of their banked gold reserves at gun point!
So yeah, the Haitian people are some of the most high agency people in history, but that doesn't mean that the European globe spanning empire that has dominated the planet for 600 years and at its height dominated over 80% of the population of the world and forcibly trafficked, enslaved, genocided, assimilated, starved, and raped literally all of those people is somehow "just another example of evil that can be found in all cultures"
How does the boot on your neck taste?
No. Thats the how. And as I said, it matters. Can't you read? No offense.
You need to go read some history
Cruelty is the point.
The cons walk around - proudly - with shirts that say things like "make liberals cry again".
I don't like Obama, but I'm fine with the Liberal Whisperer using his power to push from the back and not trying to lead from the front, so to speak.
He's always projected a sense of decency, even though he's actually a war criminal. He's also an amazing speaker. I can think of few people better suited to speak on Trump's indecency.
Any article about Clinton, Harris, or Obama will trigger people in the comments.
The same Obama who kindly and decently bombed thousands of civilians and oversaw the expansion of a security apparatus conducting warrantless searches on every American?
WHAT A GOOD MAN!
Beats a pedophile rapist, fraude, thief, traitor narcissist assjole
And a poke in the eye beats a kick in the balls. I'm not going to pretend that getting poked in the eye is awesome.
At least Trump is honest and open about what he is. Obama hides behind liberal aesthetics.
Yeah Trump is totally honest, he always speaks the truth… Apparently you all know that he is a pedophile rapist, fraud, traitor and what not and you still vote for him. This really doesn’t make you look good
I think you are willfully misunderstanding me. He is a hateful freak but he doesn't hide it.
I love when you shit on libs they reflexively think you are right wing lol
Yeh, that guy...and all the others as well. I think we all know that the US has been doing this for a long long time. Thats one of the reasons why we're seeing a movement away from centrism.
Apparently, you forgot your slash...
