An old communist bookstore that was opened in the 70s still exists here. Not sure if the person who owns it is a communist but they still have lots of marxist literature. Recently went there looking for a specific book and ended up coming across this beautiful special edition with an illustration of Engels included. I really hope I won't have to see it close in my life time.

My neighbour was a member of the local communist party when he was younger and according to him they established and funded the store covertly back then. The party sadly no longer exists.

In Poland? Lol, lmao even.

No way. I need to pirate them.

Unfortunately all the cool bookstores I know of are far away and some are even gone.

Depends, smaller bookstores usually have some good books, the big box store ones just have slop like this

The Ice at the End of the World is an epic name for a book though, it sucks to see it wasted on a non-fiction work 🙁

Marx X Engels?

Nah. Second-hand bookstores may hold gems though.

The owner of the second-hand bookstore I frequent is a leftist, so yes.
