After the critical and commercial flop of the Melania documentary earlier this year, it has been announced that US First Lady Melania Trump will be the subject of a new Amazon Prime docuseries.

The announcement was made by her senior adviser Marc Beckman on Real America's Voice.

"We are launching a docuseries, which is a total different experience, completely new, on Amazon Prime exclusively," Beckman said. "That will be coming this fall. It's confirmed, and I hope everybody tunes in, because it's going to show a part of the first lady that hasn't been seen yet."

The series will follow Melania Trump at the start of her husband's second term, supposedly offering insight into her private life and philanthropic work.

I'm sorry Trump family, but you're just not going to be that popular with the masses beyond your cult no matter how much money you throw at the problem.

Maybe that's the intent? Reinforce their control over the cult?

I think you misunderstood what is happening. They don’t care if nobody watches, as long as amazon pays them.

It’s a bribe.

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 49 points 1 month ago (2 children)

That or bezos really really owes trump for something. Maybe something island related

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

bozos has already sacrificed wapo to the cult.. was that not enough?

maybe he's priming the pump to get his mitts on the postal service.

[–] BreakerSwitch@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

As a general rule, once you've dirtied someone and have leverage, you don't stop asking for favors

But amazon trying to BE the postal service does sound like something he'd want. Of course, in my mind, that just sounds like a good way to make your business end up state owned down the line

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Didn’t this administration basically give Amazon 14B?

[–] bitteroldcoot@piefed.social 2 points 1 month ago

More like 1 billion, but with the potential for 100 billion.

Meanwhile amazon paid for that dog of a documentary that gave Melania a 10 million dollar check.

[–] kescusay@lemmy.world 48 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Oh good, another reminder to never spend money at Amazon again.

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

https://bookshop.org/

All the same books as Amazon, plus you help support local book sellers.

Remember, anything you can buy on Amazon you can get direct from the makers.

Thank you very much.

I'm a physical book die-hard, but I do have friends who have succumbed to the siren call of audiobooks [gad, I'm pretentious !]

A rainforest down in South America. Here is a helpful Wikipedia article that might answer your question better.

A tall woman who likes mud wrestling.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 month ago

Or who cut a tit off to be a better archer.

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago

I really wish I could, but my only other option is Walmart… I think people forget that there are whole swaths of this country that simply don’t have other options for retail.

The time to defeat Amazon was 15 years ago, once they started doing shit like pricing out diapers.com and then buying them up when they were worth nothing it was all over. This is a failure of our government and in the meantime I still need toothbrushes and shit.

[–] Escape13@slrpnk.net 29 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So they are surely talking about how Jeffrey Epstein brokered the marriage between Melania and that waste of space

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

They aren't talking about that brokered marriage . . .

~~Controversial~~ Universally Reviled

FTFY

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

Controversial to whom? Everyone? This was obviously a bribe from the get go.

[–] jpreston2005@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Just a russian hooker and putin asset with a heart of obsidian, helping traffick little girls and keep tabs on a serial rapist before being ushered into the white house and our hearts ❤️

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 month ago

Just a russian hooker

Not true. Slovene escort, on the other hand...

[–] InvalidName2@lemmy.zip 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

it’s going to show a part of the first lady that hasn’t been seen yet

I'm taking bets on the predictive market. It's either gonna be the cloaca or the ovipositor.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 month ago

Or her mind. There's been nothing so far that shows that she has one of those.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 month ago

Yet another reason to avoid Amazon Prime.

[–] treehugger6@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago
[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

...because it’s going to show a part of the first lady that hasn’t been seen yet.

Giggity...

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Oh... those parts have been shown in magazines plenty

[–] Marthirial@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

They are talking about compulsive bulimia every time she sees her husband half naked in diapers.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Also, I thought RT was running those on the regular for a while?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (2 children)

LOL, what the fuck is even happening? Of all the people involved with this administration, I would think that Melania is the least interesting.

[–] Hamartia@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Isn't that the point

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 0 points 1 month ago

I disagree.

She's a horrible person, no doubt, but I think she'd be the most interesting to talk to, if only for the lesbian porn.

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's confirmed, and I hope everybody tunes in, because it's going to show a part of the first lady that hasn't been seen yet.

She used to do nude modelling. Pretty sure we've already seen all her parts.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

The pictures that have been disclosed so far have been softcore. There may be others, but if so, they haven't become public yet. Not that I'm at all curious about what her growler looks like.

[–] My_IFAKs___gone@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

"...it's going to show a part of the first lady that hasn't been seen yet."

Meh, pass. Based on the myriad parts she's already shown, I'd rather she keep whatever she's managed to keep private, private.

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

serious question: does ANYONE fucking care about melania?

[–] generic_computers@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 month ago

That includes the the entire Trump family.

[–] ShredderFeeder@shredderfood.net 6 points 1 month ago

"it’s going to show a part of the first lady that hasn’t been seen yet.”

I think I can speak for all Americans when I say we've seen WAY too much of the first lady...

[–] ulkesh@piefed.social 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

A useless human being married to an even more useless, yet vile and evil, waste of human excrement. But sure, let's make movies about her.

Fucking idiots who make it and idiots who watch it.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago

A useless human

She's worse than useless. She was a pimp and human trafficker with Epstein.

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Amazon does this and gets a bunch of $$$ in exchange.

This shit is ridiculous!

[–] dregan@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

I think you got the payment direction wrong. My guess is that Amazon pays the Trumps royalties for this as a thinly veiled quid pro quo.
