It's been on my front page every day this week in one community or another...
I look forward to the day a documentary will be made about the 5 people/bots who serially post on Lemmy, possibly unaware they won’t be able to sell their account for karma, and what the people behind them look like/who they work for.

It’s truly insane what these accounts pump out in “content” every day, and how it keeps getting upvoted.
Mostly because that documentary would mean the fediverse became actually relevant.
TLDR; Fediverse, lemmy particularly has very lazy bot detection (it’s basically on the people reporting them to mods, and then mods willing to do something), and is in the middle of being overrun by them, and their agendas are questionable.

you mean we should report bots to the people running the bots? You know the folk who have bots set up to post everything on here, and then they make like one comment that isn't automated a month so they can pretend it's not a bot account and get around whichever instance admin's ~~have got a wedgie so tight they can taste it~~ inconsistent and unwritten rules?

not really a dad joke. dad jokes are generally puns.
Lately that's true but it wasn't always. Early on in the subreddit there was a lot more diversity. Dad joke just meant a kind of play on words (or ideas), not necessarily a pun. I miss that.
puns are play on words.
But puns aren't the only kind.
yeah I mean the classic hi whoever im dad is not a pun but this meme is nothing at all like a dad joke.
Shouldn't you be in Soylent Green?
Say what you want, but my 70+ yr old mom wanted a Volvo SUV because of all the safety features. But that doesn't prevent her from jumping curbs and whatnot.
She refuses to use the backup camera. Salma the brakes every 5 seconds when backing into a spot, but always looking in the mirror. Also can't functionally use the GPS is there's a curve involved.
Worst TV show ever, I feel its like Groundhog Day every time I leave my place.. Nothing but reruns.
