many aspects of the current political climate are horrifying but separatism of people based on race, gender, nationality has to be up there. it feels like people are forgetting why activists found so hard to end segregation not just in the US but all over the world.

how would you go on about explaining why segregation and separatist sentiment are not acceptable and should NOT be brought back

So we don't let them divide and conquer us.

Support separatism in the imperial core, support unity in the global south.

good way of looking at it tbh

I'm very glad to be a race traitor and welcomed into many various ethnic neighborhoods, hearts and homes other than my own.

Even by us Latinas?!

But yeah...

Race and class traitors for life

My own family has too many gusanos in it :/

My family is my family, with their own sets of challenges. I used to judge them. I don't anymore. They make their choices and have to live with them, just as I make mine, and live with them

I believe in justice.

I don't forgive.

I don't forget.

One last thing on the separatism bit:

While I support a nation's right to self-determination, I think that separatism (especially wherever they take place, at least maybe depending on the area) can really undermine the nationhood in the long run of other countries globally and even lead to more separatism (not to mention the representation and ultimate fate of ethnic minorities in the territories after the dominant or majority ethnic group wins their own state or country). It may be that not all separatism is, well, "equal" so to speak and we just have to really pick and choose wisely. But idk, I'm still exploring this point further for now.

I think Xi Jinping is right to really condemn separatism in many of his speeches recently

but it is hard to... square this with current sentiment

I don't really like "Rojava" or the YPG due to what I have heard and read regarding the Assyrians in the area

but honestly, I hope the Turkish Republic is kinda just abolished (and I fully support the PKK in their endeavors and all that).

I just don't know if I want the Syrian Ba'athist Republic to still be gone though...

I also don't like the ethnic cleansing against the Assyrians and other ethnic groups...

but then again, I'm also afraid to wade into this discussion in particular.

Also, Greta Thunberg... I admire her. I really admire her. I never understood why many leftists hated her, especially as she has matured and radicalized and developed over time. But I feel like she's wading into the Balochi issue without... really knowing everything about the whole thing?

But at the same token, Pakistan is really clamping down hard on the movement..

but then you have the fact that the current Pakistani government was essentially installed by the West... On another note, I really hated the fact that many leftists and communists diminished, belittled, and were overall indifferent or outright hostile to Imran Khan's administration (before the current government, I mean)... without even really thinking about what many Pakistanis thought... including Pakistanis I knew IRL but idk, it just seems so... short-sighted...

Like, him and his cabinet were the best thing the country had in years and arguably decades and the criticisms or critiques were kinda just "Imran Khan was a stooge of the West"

I still remember people just kinda throwing that out there lol

Oh boy...

I, uhh, wish those people would kinda explain that line of thinking now, but then they would just claim to not remember or some other deflection so...

Yeah...

Oh yeah, and:

To be clear: I am honestly for integration, especially having read MLK, Jr. recently.

(MLK, Jr. is the guy that Marxist-Leninists say was "radical" or "killed via assassination by the FBI" (for said radicalism), which, of course, is all true, but then many of them basically ignore his writings and all that and act like his methods or movements never really netted any victories (beyond voting rights or whatever, idk), hell, even short-term ones; honestly, I've never even so much as heard someone in an ML space even mention via chat or utter in an audio meet-up "Operation Breadbasket" but eh whatever at this point...)

(...sorry, I feel like my political radicalization way back in 2011 has now led up to me being... jaded beyond belief, my apologies... ;_; )

(.....also, can we talk about the fact that even the Black Panthers are basically dumbed down in ML discourse in a "bullet points history" kinda way? e.g.: "Why did the FBI kill and / or destroy the Panthers? Because they did lunches and meals for kids!!" ...they kinda don't know anything beyond the Black Panthers except "lunch for kids!!" and maybe "they carried guns" and then the conversation moves on...)

(.........also also, can we talk about how people are not only reading the very same books about the Panthers but are in general just taking the words of the Panthers that basically survived Huey Newton for granted? Especially about Huey Newton himself smdh... (I will honestly never trust what the current surviving Panthers have to say about Huey because Huey isn't really hear to defend himself now; but they're there to 'set the record straight' about Huey while over-glorifying their own deeds and I hate it... ;_; )

(.........also also ALSO, does anyone else feel that this "bullet points history"-type discourse is starting to infect every discussion regarding anti-imperialism, leftism, socialism, communism, blah, blah, blah, you get the point, etc.? Even the quotes are the same... It's like I'm on Discord or Twitter or Reddit or whatever and it's the exact same "radical and badass quote" every month by now and it's getting... somewhat insufferable lol )

(...uhh, okay, I'm going to stop parenthesis-maxxing or whatever you call it)

...So what was I talking about?

aha, that's right

Integration

Honestly, is it true that that federal agent Gazi (or whatever they call themselves now, haven't really kept up) decided to essentially divide his own org by race?

honestly, unless it's a committee specifically dealing with certain topics or issues... I'm going to have to disagree with that because it really does put a strain on not only internal communication within the org but also morale and arguably teamwork, ngl

Otherwise...

Idk, integration good, there you go :/
