[–] skeptomatic@lemmy.ca 0 points 2 months ago

You can't take it with you.

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 months ago

There is an epidemic of lead deficiency.

[–] SPRUNTnsfw@fedinsfw.app 0 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I continue to hope that he suffers from a mass overdose.

[–] JiveTurkey@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That actually seems too peaceful for this turd. I'd be okay with him living but watching as he loses everything.

[–] zout@fedia.io 0 points 2 months ago

I think you're seeing it wrong. In my mind, gone is gone, good riddance.

[–] sudo@lemmy.today 0 points 2 months ago

An overdose of lead, applied rapidly.

[–] veniasilente@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Any of us could simply pinch in to make him a trillionaire-not-for-long, just saying.

[–] ClassIsOver@hexbear.net 0 points 2 months ago

Establish a precedent for trillionaires painting a target on their own backs.

I hate that I just had to add "trillionaires" to my dictionary.

[–] tofu@lemmy.nocturnal.garden 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Tbh it doesn't matter to me whether he's a billionaire or trillionaire (of course there's a huuge financial difference, but both is way too much already). He's just the most prominent ugly symptom of capitalism. No permanent fix to prevent this unless we get rid of these systems.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (3 children)

You simultaneously said we should fix the system while not caring about the class that warped the system in the first place.

You have to get rid of both. The system that allows the disparity and the wealth to warp it. If there is wild disparity it will always seek to bend the system further in its favor, and the only way to prevent that is to kill the disparity.

[–] Dojan@pawb.social 0 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

I didn't read it that way. I read it as the difference between billionaire and trillionaire being irrelevant, neither should be a thing.

The systems and the rich both need to go. I'd argue that those who disagree should too.

[–] A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Those who disagree should go find their own planet to destroy

I've never wished for a plane crash before but we've never had a trillionaire before either. Today is a day of firsts!

[–] Riffraffintheroom@hexbear.net 0 points 2 months ago

What fucks with me is that there’s probably a couple hundred people richer than him that we’ve never heard of because their money and assets are well hidden.

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No thoughts I can share, but I'm going to saw down some invasive trees and pretend it's a guillotine so I can build those muscles.

[–] hexthismess@hexbear.net 0 points 2 months ago

Take my hatred of silk trees and kudzu for their takeover of the US Southeast spirit-bomb

[–] floquant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 months ago

Less thoughts, more rage

It's still doesn't offset how much of a loser he is....

[–] mushroommunk@lemmy.today 0 points 2 months ago

Honestly feel it makes him more of a loser

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 0 points 2 months ago (3 children)

He needs to be guillotined.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 months ago

Woodchippered.
Slowly, feet first.

I would be happier if he wasn't.

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Elon Musk is made of flesh and bones, just like the rest of us.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 months ago

Much more bullshit by volume than the average human, though..

[–] hexthismess@hexbear.net 0 points 2 months ago

Millionaires shouldn't exist let alone trillionaires

As the billionaires multiply their wealth by a factor of 1000, so too do I multiply my personal hatred for them, and so too does the social urgency of their abolition multiply anarchy

[–] TORFdot0@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Fake trillionaire because if he ever tried to liquidate his holdings it would crash the world economy. Of course our wonderful financial system allows him to borrow against his fake wealth and leave the rest of us holding the bag

[–] pressanykeynow@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Fake trillionaire

I wonder what you believe a true trillionaire/billionaire/millionaire is. All money is fake, at best they are just paper, that's the whole point of modern economy.

It's immensely funny to me that he didn't hit that number by creating anything (or by paying other people to create something etc etc), but instead by bullshitting about an AI business that does not exist and that he valued at 10x the value of the rest of SpaceX (which actually does do something) combined.

I know you say that as a slur like he's the worst person in the world. Because we don't yet consider anything worse than nazis/fascists. Like it was our latest media thing of how bad people can be. But I think it's worse than that.

He's such a goddamned symptom

[–] Impractical_Island@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (3 children)

Him holding that much money will make unsocialized young boys want to branch into STEM. That is an objective effect of him having that much money.

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] Impractical_Island@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

When I was ten, just after my mom died, I listened to the pretty boy narcissistic hockey douche who said radiologists make ton of money and I changed my lifelong desire from being an archeologist to radiologist because of that.

Kids are impressionable. Kid wants to make narcissistic dad proud, kid will try to make as much money as possible. Just one example for how long-term executive decision making is done by youths, and trust me, if someone is thinking of the youths, it's me.

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (7 children)

i reckon it’s the same as his stupid rockets making people go all hurrdurr for working at spacex.

i just … hope not. he’s a capitalist and his goal is profit. not the betterment of society.

[–] Impractical_Island@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

No, I think he's some autistic sperg boy born to rich af parents who networked right and the actual intelligence behind engineering society decided it would be good for him to be used in the engineering of culture. Our culture is engineered, and this mediocre fuck is skilled enough to play a role, but as far as doing the work to be a meaningful player, he's dogshit.

It's very concerning that the richest person to have ever lived is a full Blut und Boden fascist. This should be but probably won't be a wakeup call to all decent people worldwide that something is very wrong with capitalism. And not just capitalism, but very advanced and deeply embedded capitalism. Musk is an evil fuck, and no amount of money can buy him a soul.

[–] jdr@lemmy.ml 0 points 2 months ago

Mansa Musa is a fascist!? I'd never have known.

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 months ago

He's also a moron. The fact that he is the most successful confidence man in the world, says a lot about our world now. Companies trading at hundreds of times their intrinsic values.

I think your opinion is hilarious. Would you feel better about him if he wore rainbow flags, blm and other fun stuff for the poor? You totally miss the problem here.

I have no idea what you're trying to say.
