Cock of the rock sees you. Cock of the rock does not approve.

Look at the second image, you can see the outline of the beak.

It's right there, I don't understand how anyone could not see it.

[–] Avicenna@programming.dev 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I am well aware of that particular shadow. However this magnificent birb is filled with forms of shade like that see:

You can't actually reliably outrule the possibility that what you have drawn is just a shade and this birb's beak is actually tiny. Ofcourse I have googled the birb and have seen that infact what you have drawn is the most likely the beak, but that is another issue.

I believe you can just see the shadow of the beak on the right side of the crest. The crest splits and lays on both sides of the beak sometimes.

Its probably somewhere in brazil

[–] Dagnet@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Ofc it is hard to find it in the world if it's only in one country out of all countries

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

It's found in 5 other countries north of Brazil as well. It's probably hard to find in those other countries too though. Specially the Brazilian ones.

[–] suxen_tsihcrana@anarchist.nexus 4 points 3 months ago

Wait until you see the female version

Tap for spoiler

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I appreciate when an animal looks like god was having a bad day. I too rush things and forget to complete projects.

We must bring back php forum signatures

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's a shame the fediverse doesn't have native support for them. They made web 1.0 forums fun in a way that 2.0 forums lacked.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 months ago (6 children)

I was tempted to add them to a custom fork of Voyager. But then figured people would just block me out of annoyance.

[–] tuto193@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 6 points 3 months ago

How is something dressed like a road cone hard to find?

[–] Benchamoneh@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 3 months ago

This is not a real bird, it's an Elden Ring boss from the cutting room floor

[–] TheTetrapod@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

One of the brazilian most difficult to find birds doesn't seem very competitive.

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

To be fair, we are looking in the entire world for birds entirely located in Brazil. Task seems deliberately harder than it needs to be.

[–] BackgrndNoize@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

This thing looks like one of the illustrations in the book All Tomorrows

[–] GooseGang@beehaw.org 2 points 3 months ago
