I take my beauty rest seriously. So seriously that, after months of testing, I bought my ludicrously expensive Eight Sleep Pod 4 Ultra review unit.

Imagine telling on yourself this hard

Yeh her ability to waffle is annoying. They oversaturated every point repetitively and pad it with crap.

I nearly choked on the protein bagel I’d been shoveling into my gob.

Short story they bought a ridiculous priced bed to give them data…and it gamified their sleep and gave them dodgy info…not a surprise.

Article takes 10 paragraphs to explain, and is entitled 'the bed needs to shut up'. Ironic.

Telling on themselves what?

That Western media is utterly garbage.

The author is one of the reasons they can sell that crap. Why do people always only learn by experience?

[–] hanrahan@slrpnk.net 39 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Smart people learn from their own mistakes, wise people learn from the mistakes ot experience of others, stupid people never learn.

[–] Joelk111@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

In that case, I'm really really smart.

Isn't archive.is the one that uses you for a ddos attack

[–] Wispy2891@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Yes but unfortunately it’s the only one that is coded to strip paywalls instead of archiving the page as-is

[–] runner_g@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

archive.ph also works to strip pay walls.

tbh I have no idea

If your snoring is that problematic you probably need a sleep study and a CPAP machine, not a $5,000 bed making you drink.

[–] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Jeez. An apple-infested, AI-powered bed with cloud-acces that monitors your most private moments and shares them with the world? And that also costs money not pays you?

But when I'd ask them if I could just sit there and watch them sleep, suddenly I am the weird one?

[–] BeatTakeshi@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Because you didn't charge them

[–] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago

Ooooooh. Yes. That might be it.
