I see the ceasefire is going well. I mean as long as nobody knows what ceasefire means.

Can't think of the last time this world saw a ceasefire cease fire.

[–] KokoSabreScruffy@lemmy.world 18 points 2 weeks ago

"You cease, we fire."

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The Korean ceasefire has been more cease than it has been fire.

Though there has been fire, so not a complete success.

Oh, true, true. I think that's one we can put forward to the panel of aliens willing to share their tech if they ever appear.

"See? Some times we're not complete savages."

alien noises of doubt

Ah, the old "art of the deal"..

  1. Start with a deal that, though imperfect, all sides agree on
  2. Break that deal while pitching a childish fit
  3. Spend trillions trying to get back to the initial deal

The brilliance is staggering.

We’re going to see a lot of small cheap and empty boats launched into the sea, only to blown up with billions of dollars of ordinance.

What's funny is that in a war game done by us generals in the past for a situation with a war with Iran, this was the exact strategy the US general did at the time to defeat the US Navy - a bunch of small boarding vessels armed with bombs launched at boats and aircraft carriers in order to deplete their ammo (along with small slow moving mini subs with big explosives that would be missed by radar especially with the focus being on the slightly bigger cheaper surface boats).

This was in the 2000s if I remember right.

And yet, that exact mistake is being done now lol

Iran will prefer drone attacks today. They've also used a drone mini boat to set a Kuwait tanker on fire that probably sunk.

that exact mistake is being done now lol

US navy is staying far away from SoH or Iran coast.

Anyone calling this blob a "man" is a joke. Useless pedo is a generous title.

...so what exactly has been accomplished during the 4 week war, then?

The rich got richer

This whole thing hurts my head. Looking past even if we should or shouldn't be there, I swear every other article is "war!" "Cease fire!" "War!". I've never seen anything so flip floppy.

When it relates to manipulating the market, it all makes sense 📈📉📈

That or he's living in a fantasy land where he thinks he can manifest a resolution to this by publicly declaring that's the case and then when Iran corrects him he goes back to threats. Rinse, wash, repeat.

[–] BigMacHole@thelemmy.club 8 points 2 weeks ago

Good! If we do that then MAYBE we can Open the Strait like Exactly how it was BEFORE Trump decided to Attack Iran!

-JEENYUSES!

[–] humanspiral@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 weeks ago

He also lied that US is doing mine clearing operations in the SoH. Iran has so far not needed to mine SoH. They have cannons that can do it, as well as modified shahed drones that just drop in the water and float. It's an easy setup to declare mission accomplished. Entire Persian Gulf will also not have any mermaids either.

I just watched Trump being interviewed on 60 minutes. I wondered, would there be any consequences if he physically assaulted the interviewer on camera?
