For those that are following along, even though we already watched it, The City on the Edge of Forever will be placed after this episode in the Master List. The reason for this is that the alpha canon stardate for that episode is unknown and because using the beta canon stardate meant there were suddenly two time travel episodes back to back. It feels a little kludgy.
The City on the Edge of Forever comes after Errand of Mercy in production order, so it fits better here.
Kor in TOS is utterly hilarious, almost like Kirk's bro from out of nowhere!
Bringing him back in TNG and VGR is... like the most audacious shite, ever!
Visual effects comparison of the original broadcast & the Remastered versions.
There's something about the star fields on the original effects that I really enjoy.
This seems to be one of the first episodes they remastered. Reused thing like the starfield effect and the intro are more refined in other episodes.
I wish I could find the fucking meme :
"Here we have John Colicos as Kor and Michael Dorn as Worf"
"There we go! Michael Dorn is doing great blackface!"
"Micahel Dorn HAS a black face! He's a black man!"
I got you fam
