~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

I'll bring some wings and a beer, I loved that episode
Both are good!
"I don't-I don't wanna send my friends off to die! I just wanna be an ensign. If it was good enough for Sito, then it's good enough for me."
"In the past, Klingons believed humans to be weak and easily defeated. But your species has proved its toDuj. Sito was a warrior. You do not honor her."
"You didn't know her!"
"Do you follow every order from your commanders?"
"No!"
"Sito made her choice. You want to solve puzzles and mysteries? Your friend gave her life to protect that. [scoffs] She would not approve of your actions."

Look, Mariner experienced deep and long lasting grief from the death of her friend. Everything is a struggle for her.
As it should be.
"Tonight in Ten-Forward they're showing First Contact!"
"They're showing the episode where Riker bangs Lilith, not the movie."

Honestly Insurection felt like a 2 part episode rather than a movie.
You say that like it’s a bad thing. There’s a bunch of two parters I like better than most the movies. Add in a bigger budget and that sounds amazing to me.
Yeah, except it sucked in general and more so as a movie. It felt like it should have been slotted in as a random mid-season two parter, not even a season finale slot.
Insurrection is a character assassination story, so its bad no matter how you slice it.
Yeah, TNG already did a better job in less than half the time with Journeys End. And that wasn’t even a particularly great episode.
In Star Trek: Insurrection nobody acknowledges that Worf recently lost his wife.
I don’t believe that is anyone’s favorite VOY episode.
It's definitely one of mine!
It's quite a visceral look at how radicalization works, and how groups manipulate members and potential members through control of language, artificial camaraderie and especially, having an enemy.
And the end is amazing. When Chakotay sees the scary looking alien (can't remember the species) on Voyager, all that fear and hatred still comes back to him even though he knows he was manipulated. Because being de-radicalized isn't just like flipping a switch. It's easier to learn to hate than unlearn it.
Obviously it could be better - as with most Voyager eps to be honest - but it's definitely one of the ones I look forward to most on a rewatch.
Edit: I glimpsed a comment, now nullified: the nemesis is the Kradin
You don't fathom the Kradin beast?
Is that the one where Rock "The Dwayne" Johnson bodyslams Seven of Nine, or is that the one with all the glimpses?
Tonight in Ten Forward, they're showing the Best Wars episode Nemesis!
