Note to anyone that needs to hear it - your employer isn't worth the potential injury or lawsuit that could result from doing anything like this. Most companies don't want that heat, either, so you will likely get fired in the end, anyway. Honestly, even if companies did encourage employee vigilante-ism, it still wouldn't be worth it. Let them eat the losses.

MODERATORS
When you get to large businesses like that, they have theft insurance. They're losing a tiny fraction of what it may look like on the sticker. They're not even losing the total wholesale cost.
People are allowed to do things that potentially injure themselves. People are allowed to disobey corporations.
Good time for the reminder that if you see someone stealing food, no you didn't.
