liberals also assumed that the epstein related stories were also conspiracy theories until the federal government released files that it proved that they weren't conspiracy theories; yet the federal government also releases files through things like the freedom of information act that proves that the tankies are right, but liberals ignore it nonetheless.

🤷‍♂️

There’s also a big difference between a tankie and a communist. I haven’t met a communist on Lemmy ;)

[–] rentasintorn@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What do you consider a "Tankie" to be?

[–] Kalashnikov@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 months ago

You are a tankie. OP is a tankie. Everyone I don't like is a tankie. Tankie was the OG Hamas before it was cool to accuse everyone of being Hamas

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 months ago

bait used to be believable

[–] Rogelio_Marciano@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

A communist is someone who wants food, roof, school and medicine for the children. A tankie is someone who understands that capital-fascists will never allow it, that only lead can stop said capital-fascists.

Any country that allows billionaires to exist is a capital-fascist country.

[–] amemorablename@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Doesn't hold up cause China has billionaires but is also not run by capitalists. Truisms are rarely so easy to apply. I find it's most insightful to circle back to who owns the means of production and distribution, and whose interests that power is exercised for.

You repeated the exact same line twice in a row, ignoring the content of what I said in the process. I don't know what you expected. Online, it's a real possibility.

[–] org@lemmy.org 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The exact same line was the point. I didn’t ignore what you said… I disagreed with it.

[–] amemorablename@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I disagree with that interpretation. (We're just doing contradiction, right? I can do the Monty Python sketch thing too.)

[–] org@lemmy.org 0 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You’re allowed to have your own opinions.

Because political concepts are merely opinions lol

[–] rainpizza@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 2 months ago

People, such as yourself, that employ exaggerations and generalizations are intellectually dishonest.

Unless your goal is to be deceptive, going for one liners like that is not helpful to understand the reality that we live in.
