So, another way to read that is that 3 out of 10 Americans still don’t know what a tariff is?
To be fair, I'm sure before Trump 2.0 it was closer to 6 out 10. I kinda knew what they were back in the day but now know more than I ever thought I would.
I think a fair amount of people have gone from having no idea at all to thinking something incorrect, though, namely “they’re a tax on other countries”.
I'm pretty sure we were taught about them in 7th grade history classes, possibly even earlier.
