Excuse me but that's a fuckin lie. These had skip protection and how do I know? I use to skate with this as my main music player before mp3.

Look at Mr big timer here with a decent CD player.

[–] kboos1@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago

120sec anti skip

[–] daggermoon@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago

Not that model, I have one. It has extra skip protection.

You can see ESP MAX right there on the lid.

Moving this around would scratch the everloving fuck outta the disk.

I had those headphones. They sucked.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Headphones lasted a whole 2 weeks before one side would stop working

Bullshit, that CD player had electronic skip protection, and those were able to keep from skipping even in the back of a bus on unpaved roads when I was a kid, you just had to hold it up. I hated the players without ESP for that reason

[–] bebabalula@feddit.dk 3 points 3 months ago

Why do you think it says ESP on the front? Seriously…

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Mine didn't. What did you do for "moving around"? Trampoline? Rope skip?
