The agreement to release oil stocks comes amid growing concerns in Brussels about entering winter with low strategic reserves, and becoming more susceptible to what several EU officials described as US “blackmail”.

That doesn't matter, it'll lower prices for everybody BUT the US because oil companies like fucking us without... Well, oil...

The US is already enjoying cheap fuel so it doesn't matter much anyway, but generally speaking, oil is at least a global enough market that you guys will get even cheaper fuel.

While we might have cheaper fuel, generally speaking, it's still expensive in comparison when budgeting or expecting a certain price. I believe those in the US also drive further than many other countries due to commuting and often lack of public transportation in metropolitan areas (though that's improving too). I drive ~25 miles round trip now which is better than my old 35 miles 1-way before. I interviewed for a place on the other side of Chicago and that was 70 miles each way with a 95+minute commute (obviously I turned that down).

We're also supposedly more self-sufficient with oil production so we shouldn't feel the impacts of the war as much (fuck the "drill baby drill").
