No shit, why do you think MAGA is speedrunning authoritarianism?
That and minority voters will become the majority voting block and overwhelmingly swing liberal.
That just isn't true. There are plenty of dumb non-whites as there are dumb white people.
The data begs to differ
In what world do you think our country is going to overwhelming swing liberal.
I think after similarly bad situations like the great depression it could happen again, like it did then.
All i can say is, i sure hope you're right.
You were saying?
A majority of Latinos still voted for Harris. And that was in a bad year for Democrats. I'm sick of people blaming them when it's us white people, especially men, who mostly voted for Trump.
I'm not "blaming" anybody. The original comment said minorities will hate Trump and swing their votes blue when there are plenty of minorities who still somehow support him.
"Plenty of minorites" it's like 3% higher than it was in 2020 my dude. Your comment came off to me like it was very flippant and deflective.
The amount of support Latinos should have for Trump is 0%. But people don't "vote rationally".
The original idea i was replying to was the idea that "minorities will see how bad Trump is and vote blue overwhelmingly". The fact there was even a group called "Latinos for Trump" when he was loudly advocating for deportations shows that wasn't the case.
There were many reasons Trump won unfortunately. I didn't mean to come off like i was blaming minorities for Trump. But thinking "oh Trump is bad for minorities so they won't vote for him anymore and swing blue so its ok" seems like a complete misread of the situation, and part of how Trump won both times. Stop underestimating how irrational people can be.
See my response to the other guy who said the same thing. Sure you can always find an exception to the rule, but this is an exception, not the norm.
Alright fair enough, suppose we'll see soon enough.
Immigrants tend to lean right as they are usually more conservative.
Not in the US. Almost every immigrant group except for Vietnamese and Cuban people vote by large majorities for Democrats. That's why the GOP manufactured the bullshit lie that Democrats bring in immigrants to vote for them.
