Is there anyone here who has had family with ties to past communist movements? (Wars, revolutions, being members of parties etc.) (lemmygrad.ml)

Title. As some of you know, I'm Macedonian. Like most Macedonians I've got (better to say once had) members of my family in the Yugoslav partisan forces during WW2. I also have members of my family that were refugees from the Greek civil war (as they were children at the time) (I am one half aegean Macedonian, being Macedonians who once lived in the greek region of Macedonia (I know, confusing, this is the one of the reasons for the whole name debacle)). Would like to know if anyone here has a communist lineage.

Mine were all American empire supporting liberals (hey that's a double tautology!). At least one of them took me to an anti iraq war (the 90s one) march when I was a baby and got me on the right path (although she's a bill maher type now).
