You see that hole? That's enough for 1 serving.

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 17 points 10 months ago (3 children)

Looks over at my teens

Yeah, sure. For me maybe.

If I cook a box I'll still have about a couple cups left over. If I cook half a box they'll all be bitching that they're still hungry in 15 minutes, and they'll consume another entire box.

I cook it restaurant style I don't even stop the water from boiling.

Honestly, it's one of the reasons I don't cook that much spaghetti the chunkier pasta shaped work better as leftovers.

Same until I realized spaghetti works great for pasta salad.

I have 4 teenagers. I cook 2 boxes every time. There are no leftovers.

Then you figure out how many servings you need to make for everyone. The hole is an approximation and you need to figure out how many servings are needed for your family's satiation needs.

Telling you it varies. If I make one serving per, they'll end up eating three per. If I make three per, they'll end up eating one.

It's also an emergency hairbrush. Slam it in a drawer with the head sticking out and boom, overnight jewelry holder. Or hold it up in front of your face and you can watch people without them knowing. It's the all-accessory!
