What kind of abuse are you talking about? I think some kind of rivalry is normal between siblings, but then again please clarify what you mean with abuse. I think most abusive siblings stem from an a parental abuse

Any kind of sibling abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, ETC).

Also, I'm starting to lean more towards believing that most abusers were NOT abused themselves (Sibling Bullying: Just as Damaging as Peer Bullying, Sexual Abusers: A Special Breed of Disturbed Character, Footnote on the Abuse Excuse, The Truth about Bullies). It CAN happen, but it's nowhere near a majority case as people like to assume.
