We have almost 50 years of examples of Republican Presidents, Congressmen, Senators and Supreme Court Justices ignoring the rules and societal norms to further their right wing agenda. While the left adheres to those same rules.
This last President has shown we can’t afford anymore of your line of thinking.
Yes, and while you're dutifully keeping track of the other team, during those same 50 years, the Democrats have backslid into conservativism light. I'm not saying "they go low, we go high" I'm saying that the rules need to apply to everyone. I'm saying thinking of politics like sports ball makes everyone kind of suck. Go out, talk to your conservative friends, make them understand that it doesn't matter who leads, we need them to actually talk about and do the action of leading. If their politicians choose whipping people into frenzies about literally anything other than the job of running the country, they need to go.
