All articles will require a short submission statement of 3-5 sentences.
Use the article title as the submission title. Do not editorialize the title or add your own commentary to the article title.
In this community we encourage long, in-depth submissions. Submissions should not be news articles that merely provide quick updates on current events; instead they should include background information and an explanation as to why the events they describe are occurring.
Submissions should not be about an individual country's domestic policies. Instead, they should be about relationships between different countries and/or relevant international organizations. Things like breakaway politics are permitted in this subreddit, as they are relevant to and could affect the geopolitical system.
Submissions are strongly encouraged to come from reputable sources. When posting from a lesser known source, please check whether the authors have some sort of qualification demonstrating they are knowledgeable of the subjects they discuss.
Sources that include (or solely contain) maps, statistics, or other multimedia (videos, interviews, primary sources, etc.) are permitted and even encouraged in this subreddit.
We encourage discussion and welcome anyone to pose hypotheses and ask questions. We allow self-posts.

I mean receiving votes like that could probably be read as the mod chat becoming aware of the content of the body text of your post advocating for an ethnostate. Please be advised that Judaism is not an ethnicity.
Hey, sorry for the delay in my answer, i made a pause on Lemmy(, which will probably last until i finish an( )other app for Lemmy), only saw your comment two days ago before going to sleep, and was busy yesterday. Not that i expect a conversation about my little problems to hold any interest.
Could you tell me how did you find my comment above, i'm interested, and what is this mod chat you're talking about ? If it's the modlog then this thread appeared in it after these downvotes(&reports), and if it's a way of designating some "mod channel" then it's fairly certain that these 5-6 initial downvotes didn't come from mods/admins, so you probably had a good argument in mind instead.
Just like you, CaptainRipcord didn't justify his accusation when he wrote that i'm supporting "states based on supremacism", or DefectingToDPRK when stating that i support "colonization", so please justify where i advocated for "an ethnostate" in "the content of the body text of [my] post". In the meantime, i'll suppose that it's because i wrote "jewish state" instead of "jewish-majority state" or "israeli state", but then what a step to assume that i was arguing for a country giving jews superior rights over non-jews. It's wild that both of my accounts are permabanned and i've yet to recognize myself in any of the accusations received, nor even receive a single proof. Mods and users had their reasons, but the thing with accusing me of what i'm not is that i know for sure you're false and i'm right. When seeking pro-palestinian solutions i even deemed a two-states solution unfair and only kept better options than this one, you answered to a comment that said "Giving a small portion of the stolen american lands to Israel would undoubtedly be pro-palestinian", which was what the censored comment argued for, this is who i know i am, not that distorted picture y'all feel good pretending to misunderstand me as.
(b.t.w., if you ever talked to pro-israelis, as all pro-palestinians should to confront their arguments, then they won't agree that Israel is an ethnostate discriminating against non-jewish israelis, and it's important to understand them, they'd e.g. point out that the 77% of jews in Israel is lower than the percentage of muslims in muslim-majority countries, or talk about an alleged equal treatment in front of the law, etc., yet i've never defended/'talked about' that in the selftext nor on any of my social media accounts i.i.r.c., on the contrary i could cite from memory more than one argument to justify why Israel discriminates between arab and jewish israelis, and if we're including the occupied territories then it manages somehow to be even worse than South Africa apartheid. More importantly, who cares about the ethnostate argument in comparison to the colonization of the palestinian lands, since even if Israel stopped discriminating against non-jewish israelis then palestinians&you&me wouldn't be satisfied, of course.)
You didn't mention it, but i've said in the censored comment that it's understandable why israelis wouldn't want Israel to disappear forever, it feels like your accusation missed the target and that this sentence was the real responsible for the permaban.
If so, i don't agree that it is(/'should be') against Lemmygrad rules, or morality, to state that i can at least understand why israeli jews, as a national/cultural group with a (long )history of persecution, would fear losing political self-determination permanently(, which was the thing i never said on Lemmygrad before), just like it'd be hard for pro-israelis to pretend not understanding the logical palestinian grievances.
Anyone pretending to be unable to understand that would seem dishonest to me(, and even if you/others pretend that you can't understand their concerns, i immediately followed these words with "then the responsability lays on the west to make this situation a fair one", so i clearly wasn't being anti-palestinian).
Similarly, i'd ideally prefer not to be anti-ukrainian, and believe it'd be in their interest to bet on the Russian Federation rather than the European Union, and by supporting pro-russian "separatists"/conservatives/loyalists ukrainians i'm undeniably supporting 'some ukrainians'/'a part of Ukraine' anyway, this could/should be a progressive process but europeans would need to agree that the huge post-1991 gain of their influence zone stops at the u.s.s.r.'s borders(, not that V.Zelensky would have physically survived such decision, i was here as well babbling about impossible things just because they seem like the best option).
It shouldn't be necessary to add, after everything i wrote in my two lemmygrad accounts and in this post's selftext(, as well as censored comment,) that i obviously do not endorse ethnic supremacy, unequal rights, settlements, or palestinian dispossession.
Unlike my little person, we(sterners) are not defending a pro-israeli position that'd also be pro-palestinian(, even a two-states solution is a partial destruction of Palestine, without anything of equal value given in exchange).
Hopefully not, but perhaps that you'd prefer a solution hurting the israeli side rather than one pleasing both, my p.o.v. is that the latter would not only be more moral(revenge≠justice), but also more realistic because we(sterners) have more military power.
I'll be reading your answer with interest then, hoping that you won't warp my meaning/words and that you'll justify your accusations by quoting my words.
Let's make this conversation more fruitful than personal accusations though, i assume that your position is a one-state solution ? It'd then need credible guarantees that jews won't be persecuted once the balance of power changes, including in regard to their cultural rights.
Many people are arguing for a single state and, even if i know it wouldn't be your p.o.v., if it passes tomorrow i'd expect it to be more pro-israelis/anti-palestinians than less, a.f.a.i.k. it's the solution with the most diverse forms and i only included it without any details here(, i proposed the same discussion to DefectingToDPRK, since he seemed to support this). I'm seeking without much success people that would expand on the options presented, because many more exist and i believe we should look for solutions instead of simply complaining.
It's kinda ok to be a weird person since normal is boring and theses need antitheses, but i'm also full of flaws and that's annoying, i'm not doing it on purpose so please help me become better, it's one of the aims of discussion.
Finally, do you know if i'm breaking a lemmygrad rule currently and if we should better talk in private ? Forgive me to keep complaining about my little person but i happen to have difficulties to know in advance if what i write deserves a ban(, otherwise i'd have gladly edited the problematic part if they asked, not that lemmygrad is worse/better than subreddits in this regard).
I haven't answered your last sentence because i didn't understand it, but for the sake of completion
Thanks for your advice, not sure if it was intended as a refutal of something i wrote, but i could reply that they're an ethno-religious group, even if i.d.k. where this argument would lead to.
Some ethnicities don't have their own state(, including in countries we support), i don't think you're implying that they're entitled to.
Some group of people asked for their own state despite not being an ethnicity(, e.g. communists), but you're probably not saying either that they shouldn't be authorized to.
So i don't understand ; and i.d.k. if there's anything, natural/genetic or cultural, that can "justify" statehood, although some arguments seem more legitimate than others. My personal belief is that we should have a confederation of communes with their own constitution/laws, so i'm arguing for much much more diversity than now(, but also more unity than now), based on ideologies or ethnicities, as they'll wish, our precious Earth is vast enough for that.
