Controversy-tarred congressional candidate Maureen Galindo this week pledged to transform a site south of San Antonio now used by the Trump administration to detain migrants into an internment camp for “American Zionists.”

“She’ll turn Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking,” Galindo wrote in an Instagram post over the weekend, referring to herself in the third person. “It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists.”

Galindo maintained she only has an issue with zionists, or those advocating for the existence of a Jewish state in their ancestral homeland, rather than Jews in general.

“I think it’s actually the zionists who are putting Jewish people at the most risk,” Galindo told the Current last week.

I don't support throwing people without due process into some kind of confinement. But I do support genocide enablers getting prosecuted and thrown in prison.

People are just speaking with energy, with frustration at the powerlessness of the situation. None of this is stuff is materially possible right now to implement. It's just venting.

Right right right, just locker room talk. Nothing concerning about calling for your enemies to be put in concentration camps, we all do that when we're frustrated.

Not calling for people to be put in concentration camps. I think that's about as clear as I can make it. Concentration camps = bad. Jesus fucking christ.

If you still believe in superstitious childish notions of universal good and bad, you have no business making plans that concern the future of life on earth.

Reeducation, where possible, is good.
