Heading down the beach for another breather.

Got ol' girl from 42kg to 45 after that silly japan trip hunger strike. Moving away (at least slowly) from intervention for now. That was close though. Still one emergency away from a serious problem.

I've had to lie about what I'm putting in to food (basically doubling down on protein / ensure). When you say what you've done down the sink... Don't say anything.. "oh this is the best one yet". Mind boggles.

I've given up with gentle suggestion doesn't work too frustrating.

Was blamed last night for that weight loss, half a world away. That can get in the fkn bin.

So heading down, gonna start the chilli ferment which I'll bring some to the next DT gathering (if I'm invited, that vodka doesn't drink itself).

You’re doing so well dude. It’s a shame the Kalteen bars from Mean Girls aren’t real.

I just thought of finding soft easy to chew protein bars (if they exist) and giving them to her as if they were biscuits or mini slices. Caloriemate biscuits are kind of hard and were very similar to normal shortbread but maybe if she dunked them. Adding peanut butter and mayonnaise to things are game changers. Maybe a dollop of cream to garnish the soup, a squirt of whipped cream or spray cheese on top of whatever else.

Also an antidepressant might stimulate her appetite and help her hold onto her weight without it being so hard on you. If she can be convinced to take it or it can go in her coffee drink. (Unethical I know)

Take care of yourself too and take breaks. The effort must be monumental.

one time when my MIL complained about my cooking saying she couldn't eat it I got up, made a quick omelette then took her dinner away out of her hands, gave her the omelette

she was shocked and annoyed, annoyed I took her fun away

The more i learn about MILs the more I'm happy about not having one lol.

the MIL is not the problem 🤨 it's the people who never stand up to her and stand up for others

and bad ones are rare , most people are good and kind
