Being told I can’t send or receive email because Onedrive is full and being leaned on to upgrade…

I already copied all the files over to a separate folder previously but just to be sure I did it again so I can drag that one onto a hard drive. Deleted some old recordings and photos I had backups of from Onedrive to free up storage, and unlinked the pc.

I don’t like how everything is a subscription model and in the cloud now. I really need to get the rest of my stuff out of cloud onto my computer and then onto separate physical storage.

We use google at work but I have needed to subscribe to Microsoft for word/OneDrive for a specific job and can confirm it is a stinking pile of poo. Google also but less buggy. I miss when we could buy and own stuff

It makes everything so unnecessarily complicated :(

I had a computer that was getting old, so I've been playing around with using it as a home server setup. I have it running backups, which is quite reassuring.

Fucked up you can't send email because of it. I think Microsoft defaults to putting all your files in onedrive but your computer will have way more storage than the free version. With a bit of copy/paste and rerouting directories for documents and downloads you should be able to free that up
