Volts give the push. Amps are the actual flow (charge per second). Ohms try to prevent the amps from flowing (technically restricting the charges from flowing).

Ohms try to prevent the amps from flowing

Why is Ohms such a bitch? Let her flow.

[–] captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Cause Amps can be a serious bitch when she really gets going, you've got to keep her in check.

So should I just tie a rope to my wife? For when she really gets going?

Was that the plot of Black Snake Moan?

She gets too hot, melts stuff, starts fires

College girlfriend flashbacks.

Oh... She's pushing her. It makes more sense now.

The explanation makes a lot more sense if you already understand what is being explained

...if you already have some understanding of what is being explained. This did clarify it a bit more to me!

Oh I understand Ohm's law, I just throught the picture was yellow fisting green while the resistor (2.1 kΩ?) held her in place.

Don't you fist people when you try to get them moving?

I thought Ohm was tightening the waist, like a corset, so Amp could get through. But, maybe I was distracted.
