Well the shitty economy doesn't help. But the biggest cultural factor is the idea that white people are on the downswing because so many immigrants (refugees) are coming to Europe and America from wartorn countries. That is far and away the biggest united narrative I see.
As Marxists, shouldn't we examine the economic base as the origin of things like "cultural factors," "ideas," and "narratives" instead of seeing them as the cause and capitalist crisis as an optional aggravating factor of fascism?
Yeah probably lol. That would be more productive.
Real factors vs BS factors. If the false narrative about immigrants didn’t stick, the bourgeoisie would concoct some other narrative that did.
