Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi introduced the BURDEN Act to make federal lawmakers fill out the same paperwork that their new law forces on low-income Americans.

Well yeah. And also a productive use of their time. Though since they aren’t doing anything else productive, I suppose they may as well do this.

Yeah for sure. It’s a cynical act, but like you say it’s not like congress is going to actually do something good or useful at this point hehe.

Considering what this GOP Congress has been doing when they do pass something, I'm all for tossing whatever monkeywrench into the works can slow them down. Even if it doesn't accomplish anything except create sound bites for the 2026 campaign ads.
