It seems that class takes a backseat in discourse, even in Marxist-Leninist spaces. Also, it seems that the reliance on "civilian groups" seems to backfire a lot, especially in American politics, since it allows corporate influence, as well as other opportunists, to take control of certain services and departments of the government. I will say that the German government during the 1930s seems just as incompetent as the current fascist movements today... but that they can still get into power and subdue other bourgeois factions is noteworthy.

Also, yeah, the Nazis are portrayed as more "competent" than how they actually were.

What do you think of the video?

About 30 minutes long; mostly talking.

Vox is the main antagonist of Hazbin Hotel season 2, and this new focus really helps us understand who he is. I saw a video explaining what Vox represents in real life, and the YouTuber in the video drew a parallel between Vox and Elon Musk. At that moment, everything clicked for me: the comparison seemed obvious. Vox was conceived to symbolize influential figures who manipulate or direct the flow of information, whether it's traditional media or digital platforms. In popular culture, this type of critique is often associated with high-profile figures like Donald Trump or Elon Musk. Vox particularly reminds me of Musk, because they both share a passion for technology, as well as a sometimes unpredictable or impulsive public communication style. Since acquiring X (formerly Twitter), Musk has made decisions regarding the platform's moderation and algorithm that have sparked numerous discussions and controversies. This echoes, in a fictional way, Vox's behavior in Hazbin Hotel: in the series, he controls what the demons see, promotes content that serves his interests, and modifies the algorithms as he sees fit. It goes without saying that Elon Musk has become a major figure in the tech world, through Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company, and xAI, and there's no indication that he intends to stop there. He presents himself as a visionary seeking to revolutionize the world, just as Vox establishes himself in the Hazbin Hotel universe as an architect of influence and digital power. This is therefore no longer just a humorous or personality-based parallel: it's a genuine mirroring of fiction and reality. Vox and Musk each embody, in their own way, the same fascination with technology, media power, and influence. Ultimately, the strength of this comparison lies in the fact that Hazbin Hotel uses caricature to address a very real phenomenon: the power of those who control digital tools. Vox isn't just a spectacular villain; he's a modern metaphor for our relationship with the media, algorithms, and the figures who influence how we perceive the world. Let's not let these overly powerful beeches get the better of us. Together, we can stop them from winning!

Liberals dismiss antifa as just an idea — instead of acting to defend the activists, researchers, and organizers facing persecution.

Tommy Douglas:

Once more, let me remind you what fascism is. I need not wear a brown shirt or a green shirt. Fascism begins the moment a ruling class, fearing the people may use their political democracy to gain economic democracy, begins to destroy pol democracy in order to retain its power of exploitation and special privilege.
